    I’d do ‘half past three o’clock’. You don’t NEED to put in the afternoon, but you could if you wanted to.

    The more formal way is “half past three o’clock in the afternoon”.  However, brides are getting away from being so formal.  My only suggestion is that if you use numbers, use them in the date also.  So if you use 3:30 in the afternoon, also write the date such as July 22, 2017, or the 22nd of July, 2017.  Consistency is key 🙂
