I think as long as you’re confident, and you say you are, then you can rock any size stone you want! 3ct is big in my opinion, but that’s because I wouldn’t be confident with that size on my 4.75 finger. Ashas are so beautiful too! Be happy and rock that rock! πŸ˜‰

Oh and congratulations!

Hey, I do own a cz 9mm solitaire. I bought it because it was high quality and I just love looking at that gorgeous large stone. I also sort of collect jewelery πŸ˜‰ I’ve worn it out once in Toronto, Canada and didn’t feel too comfortable…maybe I just needed more time, hehe. It’s a gorgeous size though, and should look great on a size 6.5-. I’m a 4.75.

I’ve also worn an 8mm cz for a day and I was getting comments on the streetcar by a nice lady I chatted up with. “Your boyfriend put all the money towards your ring” (after discussing my reasonable-budget wedding). I told her it was a cz.

If it’s what you want and you’re confident, then rock it girl! My engagement ring ended up being 10mm across!! But it’s a double halo flower ring. I feel super comfortable with that one.

Pics!

If you love it and can pull it off then it’s not too big:) And I think a big ring is a good “problem” to have, hehe.

my finger is a size 4.5 but I think that the finger coverage of my halo would be around what yours is. I love it. My ring is definitely big and gets lots of attention but I adore my ring πŸ™‚ Ivenever seen an Asha in person but they photos here look very nice!

Personally I’m not a fan of very large stones especially sims. However as you said, the main thing is you like it that’s all that really matters. Plenty of girls here have chosen large moissanites/CZ’s. Prices for man made stones are so much lower than diamonds. There are some here with actual large diamonds too of course.

I wouldn’t worry what others will think. As you said, you know people are going to know it’s not a real diamond but you don’t care.

Asha’s are supposed to be better CZ’s  as they’re coated. Enjoy your new ring! Congrats on your engagement.

@BabyCarat:  Thank you!!

@msgee:  I can take more pics and post them here for sure! πŸ˜‰ It’s true that the angles really affect the dimensions in a photo. Btw I forgot to say how much I love your set! Lots of sparkle and nice straight bands. Like their widths too.

Did you post a similar thread the other day, or am I really confused and imagining things?

I think since the ring is ordered, you should try not to overthink it and just enjoy it when you get it.  How good a big ring looks depends on a lot more than your ring size, so if big sparkle is your normal style, it should be fine.  Overanalying pictures of other people’s rings is just going to stress you out for no reason.

I’m the same size and think it would be too large on my finger. But if want it, go for it!
