I would if I didn’t have to pay for it. It’s just not worth the money for me, I’d rather wait.

I don’t know. The ones I’ve seen the babies always look like Voldemort, LOL! Call me old fashioned, but I like the old school 2D ones. I don’t mind when people post them on FB though, I find ultrasounds in general sort of fascinating.

Put me in the “I find it creepy camp.”  My husband really wanted to get a 3D ultrasound, but I was too creeped out by it, so we didn’t.  However, one of my co-workers got it done, and they showed off the pictures to everyone.  I didn’t find that weird; I thought it was cute.  🙂  Plus their son was like spread eagle in the womb, so it was kinda funny to see a little baby flasher.

Ok I might sound awful for saying this but I havn’t found a single baby who looks “cute” in these 3D images. This is including my OWN kids! The first time I saw my son on the 3D I was a little shocked at how creepy he looked. When he was born, he really didn’t look anything like the 3D pic. He was MUCH cuter in person. lol

Just recently we had it done with our daughter and once again she looked more creepy. I’m more confident now that she won’t come out looking that way. I could tell though that she had my nose. =) BIG reliever because on my side of the family you either get a HUGE nose or a really small one. She got the small one.

I would say don’t worry about feeling like your going to see exactly what your baby looks like by getting it done. You gotta remember that it is a smushed little baby, in a big water bubble that has no color. Once the baby is out, how he/she will look will still be a big surprise!!

My husband’s SIL did this! I think there’s even a 4D option now???
I”m really on the fence about this. I think it’s super cool but also know it’s really expensive as well. Don’t know if insurance would cover this?

I know my husband is kinda creeped out by it!

I prefer the fuzzy black and white ones. I want my baby to be a surprise to me, I get a little weirded out by seeing their face and all that in close up detail. That’s just me though, I haven’t asked Mr.ND about it, but when that time comes, only he’ll be looking at them if he really wants them, they give me the willies.

I agree with Sulli301. I’d love to see a picture of my baby, if it’s not extra on my insurance.LOL If I wasn’t pregnant, I wouldn’t care. I didn’t even use to like the regular ultrasounds. I guess when it’s YOU, things change. 🙂

A baby face is a baby face. Round head, squishy cheeks. I didn’t have the slightest interest while I was pregnant, but lots of my friends got them done. They all looked blobby and kind of creepy…

I think that 3D ultrasounds are great!! i got to see what my babies look like before there born!! i can’t wait to meet them in person but untel then i know Charlie looks like his daddy and Rory looks like her grandma :). i got my ultrasound done with http://www.sonosmile.com and not only did they not charge extra for having two babies they gave me more time because Charlie wouldn’t get his elbow out of his face 🙂

i love my babies

I think they’re a little creepy.  But one ultrasonographer showed us our daughter’s face.  It looked nothing like her.

We are getting the 3d/4d done at 27 weeks when my in-laws are in town. We are going to surprise them with it.

I’m not into it, but I think the technology is cool.

We got to see some in my women/children class in nursing school, and while the technology is fairly amazing, whenever I am pregnant it freaks me out a little too much to see my baby.
