@Mrs. Spring:  What about a leather ‘brag’ book, where he can put pictures of your baby in, and show to people at his work, etc? Or maybe a leather scrapbook?

@Mrs. Spring:  Haha…is it sad that I got my husband a pair of leather shoes for our 3rd anniversary?!?

I like the leather brag book idea! I was also thinking about a leather key chain that has your initials or something sentimental engraved on it?

I guess we’re lame because we don’t really exchange gifts. It’ll be five years at the end of April and I’m just trying to make sure we do ‘SOMETHING’ to celebrate ๐Ÿ™‚ His birthday is two weeks before our anniversary and I’ll try to get him something decent for that. (Usually we’ll just buy whatever we want for ourselves and call it a ‘gift’ for the other!) Hey – whatever works right!

I like the leather brag book idea. I don’t know if he has a desk at work – but maybe I nice leather frame ‘engraved’ with a special quote or saying special to you guys and a photo of the four of you?

@julies1949:  I love that!  We have observed the “traditional” anniversary gift tradition the last 2 years.  We also started having some sort of family portrait done each anniversary.  That was my husband’s first gift to me–an artist sketching us.  The results were pretty good but the sentiment was fantastic (especially since he’s a bad gifter).  Last year, I embroidered us on cotton in this style.  I included our dog and our baby.  So I think we’ll continue doing that in some form.  But this has me thinking that perhaps we should buy a gift for “us” like this book.
