Hi Bees! Now that we are back from our honeymoon, I have a few prof (and other) pics to share. Our day was amazing! After all the months of stress and planning, a few small things went wrong but nothing that really mattered. We had a destintation wedding in Florida, and we live in PA.
What went wrong:
1 – Church Rehearsal Coordinator had the time wrong. We showed up at 4, she thought it was at 5pm. We tracked her down and were able to get things going by 4:30.
2 – I tripped on the front of my dress a lot early in the day. THEN while we got pictures in the front of the hotel, the doors automatically opened and swallowed my train and cathedral veil. I screamed so loud they probably heard me for miles. I got so lucky that there was no damage to the dress or veil!
3 – We had alternating centerpieces and the wrong one was put on the head table.
4 – The hotel coordinator called me the day before the rehearsal dinner, asking to move it to another location within the hotel, for no good reason. I said no. It was planned for 8 months and completely paid for! 🙂
5 – I bought a plane ticket for my dress at the last minute. Long story, the dress was supposed to be driven to Florida but things changed and we had to adapt. It made for a funny picture.
What went right: EVERYTHING ELSE! Literally, it’s too many things to mention and I won’t bore you by gushing. But I feel very lucky that we had such an amazing wedding weekend.

Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing! I like it when brides share what went wrong and then go on to let us all know that everything still turned out okay! I’m not sure if I’m flying to my wedding yet, but I may end up buying a plane ticket for my dress as well!

@MrsBeck: Feel free to PM me with any questions. Depending on the size of your dress, the overhead bin or closet could be an option. We flew Southwest and most of their planes don’t have closets.
@Mrs. Chai: It’s actually the Waldorf in Orlando!

Hahaha. I love that your dress is belted in for the airplane ride. 😉
I think when dresses have little beading, and rely more on design they really bring out a bride’s natural beauty. You can focus on her, not the dress. This is totally captured in your photos. (Keep in mind, I’m a lace/beading freak… so, I’m going to have to remember this one day)
Everything seems so fun! Oh, and pink shoes!
