That’s big for Oklahoma! (I know all you ladies in CA are laughing at me right now :P)
I was standing in my bathroom & heard the ground rumble & the whole house shook. I thought it was the construction workers outside, so I go outside & didn’t see anything out of the ordinary, but still chalked it up to construction.
About 10 minutes later, it happened again. I was starting to get irritated at the construction guys lol.
Then on the way to work, I heard it on the radio.
4.0 – very interesting, sort of cool & freaky at the same time. I don’t think I would ever want to feel one bigger than that.

I just heard from my bestie (she lives in OK City)! Crazy!
We had a tiny one in IN during the night once, our windows rattled, that was it!

We had one here in StL a couple years ago. It woke me up in the middle of the night. It was weird! I’d never felt one before.

its probably just minor shifting due to the large shift that just happened down in Haiti. The plates work on sort of a ripple effect. The large slip there (which continues to have aftershocks) is causing slight pressure changes in other plates nearby. I’m not an earthquake expert by any means, but i am a geologist and work with Earthquake guys at the USGS. Just my two cents

I’m sure earthquakes are scary on any scale. I’m glad you’re ok.

I agree with Denver. The Earth is probably still settling down from the huge one in Haiti.

@ Miss Moose – luckily we are ok, so I don’t think we need any prayers regarding the earthquake, but prayers are always good so go ahead if you want! 😉

@ contrarymary – I have no idea how anyone would even have any TIME to run outside & get out of a house or structure! It happened so fast and then it was over.. How do you all prepare for that sort of thing out there?
