The past 17 days I’ve attempted to get an event sheet and confirmation of our menu. I emailed, faxed and made several phone calls with nothing. Yesterday, I started calling to a back up plan.
The good part is we are having a small wedding and a sit down dinner at a restaurant with a private room. I found one place, an Italian Bistro with a private room and full usuage of the lounge area in front of the room.
After much thinking and realizing I didn’t want to spend the next 45 days worrying if the other place could handle our reception. Communciation is key to me and they were failing horribly. If they can’t return a phone call, how can they make sure everything is completed.
I called my back up place and booked them. Attempted to call the other place, with no lucvk. I sent an email and faxed letter, so I would have something showing I canceled. No deposit was required.
Last, night I get an email from her stating she was having email issues at work. Along with sending me an event sheet. I had previously sent her a very detailed sheet, her event sheet didn’t match, had the wrong date, wrong time. This only confirmed my decision to find another place.
It’s disappointing since I did love the small cafe feel of the place but her lack of attention to detail is beyond unacceptable.
