So, today is our 5 month mark.
IM HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN TODAY I THINK!!!
I dont feel prepared, no matter how hard I am pushing to get things done, I feel like Im sitting in the same spot just spinning my wheels. Most of our wedding is getting accomplished from my paycheck to paycheck and with christmas coming Its just all piling up.
_side note, I am paying for the wedding and what I have saved right now is for final payments and tips and a little extra. BUT – for all the little things, Its pretty much when I can afford it.
But, we are getting so close and I feel like nothing is accomplished!! I am a VERY organized person and I know everythign that NEEDS to be done. But I feel like im stuck. and Fiance seems to believe that money grows on trees and always that “everythign will work out” Now personally im sure it will, but Im just not one to be able to sit back and just say “everything will be fine” I have to work at it. and i have been working so hard…
but….
im scared!! this sucks!

@MeganTacky2247: I know what you mean I started feeling like that when I hit the 6 month mark. All the big things are done but the details are so time consuming and add up! Just breathe 🙂

I know exactly how you feel. We are paying about 70% of the wedding ourselves and its the little things that are killing me. We already live paycheck to paycheck and buying for a wedding and the holidays (with a 4y/o), is making me a bit… shall I say bitchy. The only advice I can give is to get the big things out of the way (dress, venue, dj, food, photog.) and then really do your research on everything else, you can get some major deals by doing your HW- (ex: I wanted engraved pint glasses for bridal party- priced ranged from $15-$30 on etsy and other glass sites per 1, one day saw ThingsRemembered.com $20 for 4 monogrammed pint glases and all can be different) I am buying things as I see them go on sale and I can afford them. Make a list also- this will help keep you on track of what you need and want.

I feel the same way! I’ve already accomplished soooo much and as far as my check list goes I have a TON out of the way but the thing I’m stressing out about is all the checks we’re going to have to write. FI is in grad school (graduating next week) but he wasn’t able to work while student teaching and so essentially it’s just been my paycheck and we’re broke! Our parent’s are helping as much as they can which is a lot but we still have about $5K left to pay everyone and I don’t know what we’re going to do. I feel sure that we will be able to have a solid $3K but as for the other $2K…. Ummmmm So I’ve been having a freak out too! We’ll get there though and it will be gorgeous. I’ve already told myself if I have to cut more out I have to cut more out. It’s still going to be great and at the end of the day I’ll still be Mrs.B so that’s all that matters. But the panic attacks have been coming…

- Wedding: June 2012 - Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards
I got my six month email the other say and had similar feelings. Here’s what I’m going to do:
1. Make a list of every project that needs to be done.
2. List every weekend between now and the wedding.
3. Put each project into one weekend. Clearly, escort cards can’t be done until close to the big day, but other projects can be done now and put away.
I’m hoping that by having a plan for things that are “planable,” I’ll handle the unexpected a little better.
Good luck to us all!

@mink I am a HUGE list person. I am very organized and I Know pretty much exactly what needs to be done.
Making a “to do” for every weekend, or free time sounds like a GREAT idea!!! Im absolutely going to do that tonight!!! haha

@MeganTacky2247: I think there are a lot of us right there with you. I have two lists. One for the details and one for the Big projects that I can get knocked out. Seriously it may seem silly but for me I sometimes have to just check things off and get it done . I have to feel accomplished before I get to take a break.
