I think it’s great that you have a 5 year plan, I’m especially jealous of Year 3 Laughing

I don’t make plans more than a few weeks in advance anymore. I used to have my life planned out (married by X age, kids by X age etc) and now I’m divorced with no kids. Once I started not making plans and just living my life is when everything finally fell in to place and I am now just happy!

I guess if I was to plan out a bit in the future I woud say:

Buy a bigger house together with my SO

Go on an International vacation (stealing your year 3)

Talk about having a kid (we already have, but maybe talk about it again)

Take a dance class, I would just really like to

I’ve never really thought about it that way or written it down, but my husband and I have sort of mapped our our current plan for the next few years.

Darling Husband goes to night school for MBA

Darling Husband tries to take opportunities at work that might lead to promotion

I try to book at least 4 weddings, which should finance the remainder of the photography equipment I need to buy to use on a regular basis

Towards end of year invest in advertising for my photography business

Darling Husband continues to go to school, hopefully goes for promotion

I focus on marketing/advertising for photography business and try to book 10 weddings

Maybe international vacation?

Darling Husband graduates with MBA, either gets promotion or starts applying for new jobs

I try to book as many weddings as possible, start TTC early in year (hopefully deliver over winter)

I quit job to do photography full time if I’ve booked enough 2016 weddings to support this

Be awesome? I dunno we haven’t thought that far ahead. πŸ™‚

Nope. I am way too disorganized for such things and frankly having a five year plan would bug the crap out of me. Sure I have some long range goals, but it’s not like I have them written down or a timetable or anything. The past is gone, the future is uncertain so I try to focus on the NOW.

@Asia– I love your “see the light at the end of the tunnel” that’s a great way to think of it! I may make a “Light at the End of the Tunnel List” and have to start crossing things off of it!

I want to travel to Europe SO bad, luckily so does my guy so I think we will cross that one off eventually!
