Okay, I know, after you get married your dating anniversary doesn’t really matter anymore. But, today is 5 years to the day that Mr. Hedgie and I have been together. Coincidentally enough it is also Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) for Mr. Hedgie. Kinda fitting somehow. Anyway, that was slightly off topic. I feel like we should do SOMETHING but seeing as how he doesn’t get home until 7:30 and I don’t get off work until 9 we probably wont have time for much of anything.
What do you guys think? Should I still try to do something? If so, what? I am at a loss here! It isn’t like this is our wedding anniversary where I would expect something a little more… well… more. I don’t leave for work for another 2 1/2 hours… ideas?

I still like our ‘first date’ anniversary 🙂 🙂
What about just going out for drinks or something? Or bringing home a special dessert or bottle of wine? Whatever thing that means ‘celebration’ for the two of you… you know?

well if you guys normally celebrate your dating anniversary, then I dont see how after marriage it would just stop. BUT if it did, or you think it did, and it means so much to you, and he thinks that the Wedding ann. is more imp- then why dont you just celebrate it for yourself with him.. like dont expect it — but when he comes home, or when you go home, hug himm, give him a really special kiss and just remind him of what today is (: You can buy his fav dessert on your way home oo to make it cute (:

@al1988: I guess it just feels like once you are married, suddenly when you started dating is less important. Like, the clock starts over. But, I like to think it doesn’t!

@Mrs Hedgehog: The thing that I always enjoy doing is picking up a suprise dinner with maybe a really yummy dessert you wouldn’t normally splurge on. I love food so I always enjoy treats like that.

@Seaside: Minus the champagne for Ms Hedgehog… *wink wink*

I think you should pick up some yummy dessert and some sparkling grape juice (since champange is off the table) on your way home from work to surprise him!
