And I couldn’t be more excited!!!
Things seem to be coming together and these last 10.5 months of work are paying off!
I’m so looking forward to the big day! Two weeks ago I went for my dress fitting (needed a bustle and a hem) and this just made me so excited! I didn’t want to take her off!
I know I have lots to do in the next 1.5 months but it is going to be worth it!
How is everyone else feeling?
My only stress would be rsvp’s! Our deadline is July 31. As of today we have heard from 50% of our guest list. So confirmed 67 people coming and 14 not. The other 80? Who the heck knows!

6/100!? What? How long ago did you send the invites?
I had a friend email today and she mailed us their rsvp on the 20th and I still haven’t received it. She is only one province away and I have sent mail there since that has already arrived. This strike sure messed things up.

We had a lot of trouble with the RSVPs too, with the strike. Luckily we had a website for guests to RSVP so a lot of people (over 50%) used that instead of mailing them in. Almost made me wonder why I spent so much money on stamps!
Anyway, good luck ladies with the next 8 weeks. I have just about everything done, except my place cards, programs, and dress fitting (1st fitting is next weekend!).

My mom found out one couple sent their rsvp back before the strike and I haven’t received it! That has me a bit worried about the status of all the others.

@Mrs.RDV: I’m also a 9/17 bride. Our RSVPs were due back on Aug 1st, and like you still haven’t heard from half the guests. Kinda frustrating.
We are going to Vegas so you think they’d know if they were coming by now!
I just had my first dress fitting on Monday and it just hit me like a ton of bricks, this is really happening in like 7 weeks!

@vampywolfgirl: I think the dress fitting was what got me really excited!
Most people have to travel to get to our wedding and we haven’t heard from them. I sent out emails a couple days ago to people missing from my side and most still haven’t even responded to that.
This is my biggest stress right now!

It’s so nice to see so many date twins in the same thread 🙂 We sent out our invites right after the strike also, and I got about 50/130 back by now. I have no idea where the rest are, but we gave until Aug 12th to RSVP. We get like 5 a day 🙂
Mostly everything is done by now for the planning, but I keep having this feeling like I am forgetting something crucial… this almost seems too easy and everyone always says how stressful wedding planning is!
I still need to buy my jewelry, my first fitting will be Aug 25th, and we meet with the DJ on Monday to finalize songs which we still can’t agree on :S I think that’s about it!! OH and making the darn slideshow!

I think it is like you feel like everything is under control and then something pops up and you go oh crap I never thought of that.
Things for the most part are going good, but we live in Alberta and getting married in BC. That is were we are from and the majority of our friends and family are. So it makes some things interesting.
I just want the party to happen and then be married!
