I was just watching 50 First Dates on TV and it got me thinking about how increadibly sweet Mr. Irish is. He’s the kind to bring me home a cup of coffee for nothing, or wake me up with fresh baked blue berry muffins.
When we first got together, In the first 2 months of our relationship, I was staying over his house with my son for a day in the weekend. It was summer and he lived in Newport RI so we planned a day of fishing and fun in the sun. Unfortunately I was allergic to his dog which caused severe allergies and I became HORRIBLY stressed and started packing to go home with little man.
I have a seizure disorder. With all the stress and allergies I must have forgotten my seizure medication. Well I went upstairs and started to pack and ended up having a seizure from the mix of stress and allergies and not having taken my meds.
Remind you me – we had only been together 2 months, my 5 year old son was there – he really had never taken care of children on his own. So he gets me to the hospital, calls my father and takes care of Anthony until my father can drive the hour down. When I woke up the next day in the hospital,
Mr. Irish was there sleeping in a chair next to my bed. He had brought me crossword puzzles, my favorite magazine and what not. He walked around the unit with me, and I asked him where Anthony was – he was at home with my Dad. I was in the hospital 4 days and he never left my side except once to go to the store for me. They wouldn’t let me shower and my hair tangles REALLY easily. He went and got me no rinse shampoo, used it on my hair, got detangler, brushed out my hair and braided it.
That’s just ONE of the ways my FH compares to Adam Sandler’s 50 first dates.
