So, we are doing a 50’s theme wedding in Burbank, CA at the end of July. Does anyone know of 50’s theme fitting photo locations around the Burbank or Los Angeles areas that we can drive to? We want to stay away from the typical locations, such as parks, etc.
Any input is appreciated.

You might want to post this in the Local boards for that area. You’ll probably get a better response there from people who know the area better.

Tommy’s Burger? Or Pan Pacific Park has a cool replica of the old Gilmore Drive-In movie theater.

Johnny Rockets is the only thing that comes to mind at the moment. I’ll keep thinking!

HOW FUN! The first thing that came to mind is the old classic Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank!

There is a restaurant called Cafe 50’s in Santa Monica (actually there are two of them – one is in Venice) That might be a cute spot.

@lovebugfouts: Awesome! I got married there a couple years ago. Don’t know if you know, but you’ll need to sign a form with pier personnel in order to do your pro photos there. They just want it in writing that the photos are not for commercial use.
You have probably already researched this but just thought I’d mention it just in case.
Where are you having your wedding?

You could go down to venues like the El Rey & Wiltern & take pics even in front or in their outdoor lobby areas with all the ornate decorations & architecture. They may even let you go inside if you get permission…
Otherwise, you could try Cafe 50s (the owner in Santa Monica is SUPER nice) and Snug Harbor, which is another cute cafe on Wilshire in Santa Monica with 50s style counter seating & booths.
If you like the Bob’s Big Boy idea, you should go on a Friday night when they have their car show – I’m sure people would let you take pics with their cars.
