We spent right around $5k for around 150 people.  I think the most expensive thing was my dress for $1100.  We also got married in a small town and also had our reception at the American Legion.  My aunt and mom bought all the food, which was meatballs, veggies, fruit, and cheese dip etc. and just served buffet style.  I also bought most of my decorations at the end of the season when things were on clearance and marked way down, and I also bought my bridesmaids bouquets and the flowers I used for decorations at Hobby Lobby.  Went on ebay for the corsages and bouts. and also got the flower girl dresses on ebay as well.  I don’t think I spent full price on anything other than the attire for the bridal party and my bouquet was real flowers and such.  You just have to be willing to search and be creative with everything!  And since we had a fall wedding and our colors were orange and brown it was really easy to shop for!!  Good Luck!

@ChelseaLiz8: You’re welcome! If you have any specific questions, just let me know. And also, I forgot to say, we did splurge on our photgraphy – it ended up being more than 1/5 of our total budget. But it was totally worth it, and I just had to cut in other places to make it work 🙂
