Hi everyone. I’m looking into getting a cake with 3 tiers, 6″-8″-10″ plus a sheet cake to save costs. A 4 tier that’s 6-8-10-12 is significantly more expensive. I’m just worried it will look to small. Anyone have any good pictures to show the size? Do you feel it was enough? Thanks”

@Nichol513: Ours was close to a 6-8-10 and we also did sheet cake to supplement. It turned out okay!

We did the 3 tiered wedding cake and did use 2 sheet cakes (1/2 and 1/4) of different flavors to feed our guest because the cost of that 4th tier would have made the cake over $1000. I couldn’t fathom spending that for flour and sugar. It turned out great any way and we had an abundance of cake left over.

If you are worried about the cake itself looking small, you can always display it on an elevated stand, or a big chunky stand.
