I havent done ANYTHING omfg. I still have to get my dress. I have the deposits in for the cake, venues. But I still have so much to do OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are in that timeline too…..  i’m starting to feel a bit more anxiety, haha.   I thought we had covered most of the major stuff, but then i realized the big stuff is easy, it’s all the details that is making me stress.   We have alot to do still and i feel like it’s gonna come so fast that i won’t have time.  

we still have to finish the invites, we still haven’t had our first meeting with the venue, we still haven’t picked the menu, we still need a JOP, we still have alot of DIY stuff to do, and then all the other little details…..

I was wondering if someone was going to post a 6 month thread today! I am so excited!!!!

I’m in the camp of, lots done – but lots left to do. I sent out a written to-do list to my family this week. So far everyone has been all talk and no action (except for me). So I wanted to put everything down in one place so that my folks and my sister (who is also my MOH) could see what was still left to do. I only gave them assignments which they volunteered for – so before anyone says that I’m being a bridezilla – people were only assigned that which they happily accepted! ๐Ÿ™‚

So here’s what we still have left: (I was thinking if I offered my list, it could help others. I know there are things that I wouldn’t have thought of without the help of these boards)

Left To-Do:

Find Grandpa’s prayer shawl (see if it needs to be cleaned) and kiddish cup (as soon as possible)

Figure out and book brunch plans for the morning after (April)

Choose a bridesmaids dress and gifts and purses and jewelry (April)

Get Liquor/Wine (July/August)

Design table centerpieces and figure out table numbers (sometime after the first tasting/meeting with event planner)

Take dress to Sue be fitted (June) (maybe order petticoat?), purchase veil, jewelry and shoes (ongoing)

Finish the brooch bouquet (ongoing)

DIY monogram pillows for the couches

Sign contract with rabbi (already selected) and pay fee (April)

DIY chuppah poles

Book transportation/shuttle for guests (April)

Find a salon for hair and makeup (April)

DIY escort cards (forks and printing the cards themselves)

Finish monogram matchboxes (in progress)

DIY aisle runner

Pick menu (first tasting on April 19th)

Draft wedding program (June/July)

Finish spray painting the table tents to be used for the menu/I Spy (in progress)

Finish invitation wording (in progress) – then print invitations

Finish RSVP card wording (in progress) – then print RSVP cards

Spray paint the votive candle holders

Figure out what we are doing for a guest book

Determine whether we are doing the “I Spy” game (if so we need disposable cameras)

Just got the mother-of-the-bride dress on Sunday.

Ordering my invitations on Wednesday.

Still have to figure out transportation, floral/centerpieces, get my dress hemmed, pre-wedding and wedding night accommodations, and little odds and ends.

Plus plan the Honeymoon (!!) which should be fun.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m pretty much on schedule at the moment. The only thing I need to focus on is finding a hair dresser. My other April tasks include ordering the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, and talking about the honeymoon and rehearsal dinner. May tasks include: Booking the honeymoon, planning the groom’s attire, buying my dress accessories, finalizing and ordering the invites.

I got a 5 month alert email a couple of days ago, and it took a lot not to completely freak out. 

We have the venue (which includes food, drinks and a cake (!), as well as linens, plates, silverware, etc.

We also have a photographer, DJ, and we’ve sent out the Save the Dates and got our wedding website up. 

And thank God, I finally found my dress a week and a half ago!  Now I just have everything else to do!  *sigh*

I cannot believe it is coming up so fast!!!

Whenever I think im on schedule and i look at these threads i just freak out!

We have done all the big things, but al the tedious details still have to be taken care of ๐Ÿ™

I will be so happy when we are married and on our way to the honeymoon ๐Ÿ™‚
