Definitely glad to have a secondary thread that’s a bit more specialized. Even when I stay positive, I’ve had so many months of BFNs/AF that I just can’t envision another outcome.

ROLL CALL!

Age / Partners age: 31/41

Baby no. : 1

Cycles TTC: one week into #7

CD/DPO: I actually had to check! We’re on CD 7

TTC plan: High quality prenatal (Smarty Pants), daily baby aspirin, planning to add in some vitamin D, using OPKs, SMEP. This is my first month not temping, and it’s been SO refreshing (for reasons I’ll expand on below). DH takes daily baths, so I’m going to try to convince him to lay off and shower instead for awhile.

Undergone any tests to date: I use the Ava bracelet, and input the data to Fertility Friend. The past 3 months, FF hasn’t been able to confirm ovulation because I haven’t gotten a real temp shift. I tried to use a regular BBT for a few days, but I toss and turn a lot in the hour between when DH wakes up and I do, and I’m a mouth breather, so it was useless. I had CD 3 testing, and my FSH and estradiol were great (7.09 and 23 respectively). I’ll go on 12/21 for a progesterone draw to confirm ovulation, then have a follow up appointment 12/30.

Any known issues: Nothing known. My cycles are like clockwork, which is why I was so surprised when it looked like I may not be ovulating. No PCOS, no signs of endo, no issues ever. While you can’t really tell with guys, there’s nothing obvious (childhood illness with a high fever, structural issue, etc).

Link to chart: N/A for now

For fun part 1 – How do you like to relax: I’m a big reader! Not anything especially high brow, ha. We have two fur babies who are a lot of fun to play with. I also really like to cook a nice meal with a big glass of wine. DH does all the post-dinner cleaning, which makes it even nicer!

For fun part 2 – Favourite sex position (cheeky!): Equal opportunist and highly dependent on if I’ve gone for a run that day and my legs are sore, lol.

ohhh I’ll play!

ROLL CALL!

Age / Partners age: 26/27

Baby no. : 1!

Cycles TTC: just started #8

CD/DPO: CD 5

TTC plan: I think I’m going to try to relax this month. The stress has been a lot for me so I need a month to just go with the flow! I have been taking prenatal and tracking cervical music and OPK’s but I’m laying off the OPK’s this month.

Undergone any tests to date: none yet!

Any known issues: nope… bad luck lol

For fun part 1 – How do you like to relax: any sports are a yes from me!

For fun part 2 – Favourite sex position (cheeky!): doggy… no shame! πŸ˜‚

ROLL CALL!

Age / Partners age: 39/46

Baby no. : 1

Cycles TTC: in the middle of #9

CD/DPO: CD 17

TTC plan: I think I’m going to try to relax this month. The stress has taken a toll on DH and I and we’re very conscious of our ages. We’re both trying to relax and be more spontaneous.

Undergone any tests to date: DH had an SA in January, with good results

Any known issues: No, but I have a feeling that my eggs are just a bit on the old side. An ovarian reserve test would be welcomed.

Link to chart:

For fun part 1 – How do you like to relax: spending time with DH and our cats

For fun part 2 – Favourite sex position (cheeky!): Depends on situation and location πŸ˜‰

@BellaBeau:  basic FSH and estradiol on day 3 can tell you a lot, and any ob/general practice doctor can order it!

@dianaj17:  we’re in the UK so need to wait to see an NHS fertility specialist, I rang the department and they said it’s looking like February for our first appointment.

This is our month! Positivity for those upcoming BFPs

ROLL CALL!

Age / Partners age: 33/34

Baby no. : 2

Cycles TTC: 14 (3rd with RE- medicated with Letrozole) πŸ™πŸΌ 3rd time is a charm!

CD/DPO: CD7

TTC plan: Letrozole 2.5 CD 3-7, CD21 Progesterone Bloodtest, Preseed, Muccinex week of fertile window, Prenatals, OPKs, BD EOD until BFP (LOL). A little more de-stressing, when I’ve said I would lay off OPKs and tracking I’ve felt a bit more stressed oddly enough. So I’ll stick with my OPKs and try meditation, prayer and more quality time with DH that isn’t just sneaking in BD when baby girl goes to bed 😊

Undergone any tests to date: DH has done 2 SAs, one in May (3% morphology) then follow up morphology in Sept (up to 6%-normal). I’ve had a ton of bloodwork to check for PCOS (normal), to check my egg quantity for my age (normal). Plan to get another SA for DH and HSG for me if this cycle doesn’t end in BFP.

Any known issues: Unexplained as now DH morph is normal and I ovulate on my own.

Link to chart:

For fun part 1 – How do you like to relax: Mediatation and Reading

For fun part 2 – Favourite sex position (cheeky!): Really depends on time of day haha!

@BellaBeau:  that sucks! Could you call your GP? Fertility specialists here don’t have to be the ones to order blood draws, but I admittedly don’t know how things work there!

In the interest of keeping this group going, it’s funny how a switch has sort of flipped this month. I spent months 1-6 wondering how the hell people “chill out” with TTC. Admittedly, I can’t imagine taking a break…no wasted months in this household! But, I decided not to temp this month, and it has been AMAZING. If it’s this amazing right now, I can only imagine how amazing it’ll be in the TWW, where I obsess even more over every small shift. I also just somehow totally forgot that I only had two OPKs left, so I had to go to Target and pick up some hideously overpriced ones. Just a couple of months ago, I had a very organized OPK and pregnancy test set up, ha. I still feel like I have zero chill, but I’m at least 5% more chill than last month, so I’ll call that a win.

Well, we’ll call it a win for now, lol. On CD 10, should O anytime between CD 13-15. Still doing SMEP which has been great, takes the guess work out of it. Still plenty of time to stress! I will say, I’m feeling more optimistic about my CD 21 progesterone draw…while there are no guarantees, it seems from my obsessive googling that it’s uncommon (though not impossible) to have normal CD 3 values and not ovulate.

@vintagebee17:  I’ve heard the mucinex myth and I’m curious. I have some mucinex cold and sinus laying around the house – is that the same thing?

@autumnlee12:  I don’t think it helps with anything other than CM. No miracle TTC tool I don’t think. I did it last cycle and it definitely helped. I only did that when the BD fatigue kicked in and it helped kind of “kick start” things down there… lol I think it might be the same, definitely doesn’t hurt. I believe the main thing is to check that Guaifenesin is the only active ingredient. If what you have is, go for it!

@teaandcookies:  I always had regular cycles 28 days on the dot UNTIL I started TTC, so weird how that happens! Now I range from 28-34 days. Extra torture for the TWW to POAS πŸ™„

@teaandcookies:  my cycles have always been like clockwork. I O anywhere from day 13-15, and have a 10-12 day luteal phase (though I’d estimate that it’s probably pretty consistently 11-12, I think sometimes my ovary gets lazy after a LH surge, and it’s not uncommon for my temp to take on the longer side to rise). Periods are 5 full days, heavyish for 2-3 days, light for 1-2 days, moderate, then gone. This last cycle was actually the longest I’ve had in a full 19 years…29 days, with a super-long LP if I did in fact ovulate. It was frustrating, because I’ve always been so predictable…coming off of hormonal BC? Cycles returned as expected right away. Took Plan B? Zero hiccups, period was right on time. It worked out well though, because had my period not been late, I wouldn’t have been able to squeeze in CD 3 bloodwork this cycle.

Does anyone have experience with blue dye OPKs? I ran out of my beloved pregmate strips, and didn’t realize it in time to order more. I grabbed some Target brand blue dye ones, and I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or if they just totally suck. We’d originally planned on SMEP, but I think we may just end up going for CDs 12-15, then CD 17, and call it a day. With one exception, I always get my positive OPKs on days 12 or 13. I’ll obviously keep using the OPKs, but I’m just worried if we try to wait for a true positive to start BD every day, I’ll miss it.
