(Closed) 6 people per table – 48" or 60"

I have a 48″ round table in our dining room. It’s comfortable for 4-5, but too tight for 6.

I found this, seems to be accurate.

 

perhaps you could go with the 60″, and put a few more people per table.

 

6 to a 48″ does seem like it would be a tight squeeze.

@piyo:  i agree with your caterer.  48″ tables are too small for 6 ppl.  if you think 60″ tables are going to be too big for 6, go with a 54″. 

 

keep in mind that a 60″ table will fit 8 ppl comfortably so having 8 guests/table (instead of 6), you will decrease the # of tables/linens/centrepieces you will need.

Are you planning to have centrepieces and full place settings with bread plates, chargers etc? If so, 48″ will definitely be too tight to fit 6. Our venue is recommending 6-8 people at 60″ rounds.

My plan is 8 people to a 60″
