I’ve been helping my SO with engagement ring ideas, especially since I pretty much had no idea myself. I’m torn between 1.25ct (6.00 mm) and 1.5ct (6.50 mm) cushion cut, although I’m leaning a bit more towards 1.25ct.
So I’d love it if some Bees could share those gem sizes on a 7-8 size finger, preferably in a three stone setting if possible. Just to get a better idea of how it’ll look.
I’m looking at this James Allen one, https://www.jamesallen.com/mobile/engagement-rings/three-stone/14k-rose-gold-marquise-shape-three-stone-ring-item-59155
I have checked out that diamond database site for reference but hard to tell since I can’t see it as a three stone setting.
Thank you so much. Also I’m new to this site.

I know this is not what you’re looking for, but my three stone is a 7.3mm round sapphire with two .10 carat diamonds on a size 4.25 finger.
Let me know if you want to see pics to get an idea of what a three stone looks like on a finger.

mrsgordon96 : oh feel free share a pic if you’d like. I wouldn’t mind seeing other three stone setting. Thanks for sharing, I appreciate someone commenting on my post lol.
I’m really looking at a 6mm because we’re trying to keep prices low and we’re going with a gemstone and the company doesn’t do 6.5mm(in between sizes) apparently. And sadly James allen charges an extra $200 for mounting 7mm and up.

What kind of gemstone are you looking for? Have you tried posting in the pricescope forum? There are a lot of knowledgeable people who would be happy to help you find what you’re looking for. They will share a list of reputable vendors who can source loose stones and who might have the size you’re looking for.
I found my sapphire through one of their vendors and then showed a picture of the setting I wanted at my local jeweler and they made the ring.
Hope this helps!

mrsgordon96 : That’s a lovely ring! 🙂 you’ve been a great help.
And no, I haven’t checked out the pricescope fourm yet. I will have to, just to see what I could learn.
I’m looking at getting a London Blue Topaz. 🙂
