7 days til the “big day”……well technically 6 now :o)
So much to do….but I’m not motivated to do it!
I’ve been sick w/ bronchitis for the last two weeks and it has zapped all my energy!
I’ve been offered lots pf help from 2 of my BMs and my mom but I’m too stubborn (and a control freak – thanks mom!) to let anything go!!!
What else does Oct 1st/2nd/3rd brides have left??

@MrsJKH2be:I am an October 3rd bride and all I have left are to make my favors (a baked good), do my list to my photographer for “specific shots requested”, pick up tuxedos, and make last minute calls this week to confirm headcount to the restaurant for dinner, cake instructions, hotel reservations, etc….BUT….I am having a very small wedding (less than 35 people), so this is all much simpler for me than most people having more traditional/larger weddings.
Mainly, I think we are both just ready to get this done and over with—lolol! As much as we have planned and looked forward to it all year, now we are just READY to be married already! We picked up our marriage license this past Tuesday and it really hit home that it is time!
Congrats and best wishes on you big day, too! :D:D:D

I was actually just sitting here thinking, “Why I am so calm? Don’t I have more to do?” My only big project left is the seating chart/escort cards. (Ugh.) And then a lot of follow-up phone calls, running errands to pick up last minutes stuff for the honeymoon, etc.
Congrats to both you girls! Hope you have wonderful weddings!

@lilybay me too! For the past few days, I’ve felt like…I *should* be doing something.
My Maid/Matron of Honor thinks I’m being dramatic but she was a Vegas bride…took it as low-stress as she could. I’m pretty low-key but had sooooo much fun with the DIY projects!
Just a few short days ladies!!!!

Hiiii! I can’t believe it is almost here!!! I am bursting!!! 🙂
This weekend my goal is to RELAX. I’ve cancelled all plans with friends and am just trying to be peaceful and calm. 🙂 Today while Fiance is out getting his pre-wedding haircut I am heading over to my parents’ to make the table numbers and escort cards.
Other than that I have to put together the BM/GM gifts, figure out bathroom baskets, parent gifts, etc.
Oh! For parent gifts – we’re going to give our parents exact replicas of our wedding albums….but that won’t happen until much later. What can we give them the night of the rehearsal dinner so that they know we didn’t forget about them and appreciate them?

yay! it’s almost our wedding week 🙂 I’m done — my fiance and I are traveling to our wedding location (we’re having the wedding in the Philly area, where we are both from, but we live 4 hours away) on Tuesday and then just hanging out with friends/family through the wedding.
congrats to everyone! i’m so excited!

This has been a calm last week so far. I feel like I should be doing something! Escort cards are about all of the major stuff we have left. I feel like I’m a little too calm and there is something I’m missing.

@teacherbride99: We are doing the same thing. I am getting a card for each of them expressing our thanks and letting them know that their gift aka photo album will be arriving shortly after pics come in.
I just completed the escort cards last night at work (woohoo!!). All I have left is to check up on everyone (DJ,photographers, catering, florist, hair, etc) – put together the manazita branches for the escort table, frame the family photographs, and make the card box. Oh, and pick up my dress the day before!!!!!!!
I am off from work starting on Monday @ 7am…..perhaps 3am if I leave early! I’m spending the rest of the week cleaning the house and packing for our honeymoon -I want a nice clean house to come home to after everything!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE :o) Our forcast is rain alll week and I am PRAYING it holds off Friday for just 20 mins – long enough for our outside ceremony!!

we officially finished everything yesterday… i brought stuff over to my parents, organized everything, made labels for boxes, attached photos, wrote letters to my bms, picked up my dress.. I then packed my car with everything I am bringing, and piled up everything my parents are bringing.
We are leaving Thursday morning (wedding is down the shore friday) and I feel pretty good. we have to fill the Out of Town guest bags on Thurs when we get to the hotel… bet beyond that I am not doing anything else. (besides memorize vows and practice our first dance)
We are spending the next 2 days cleaning the apartment and packing for the honeymoon.
This was my goal- to be done the weekend before!!

Oy! We have a lot to do, but decided to have a fun weekend. We went up to Bellingham, WA with 10 friends. Fiance ran a half marathon and I ran the 5k (I got scared of pre-wedding blisters and didn’t want my knee to be stressed) I got 2nd in the race 🙂
We hired a cleaner for tomorrow, my 1st bm who’s staying with us arrives on Wednesday afternoon, so excited!
I have to make some signs still, get in touch with our valet parking to add some cars, make day of “don’t forget” lists, write my part of the vows, buy the chocolate favors, and the list goes on.
I also think we will give our parents a card about the album that’s to come. We’ve been having such a hard time coming up with a gift for them!!
Many congrats to all, I’m wishing nothing but sunny skies across the country!! If it does rain, make the best of it, you will still be beautiful especially to your husband to be 🙂
