I just ordered my STDs!  My goal is to mail those in April (6 months prior).

Started working on the day-of timeline so I know when vendors are arriving and to figure out what my day is going to look like.

Also, I am trying to spread out some of my expenses so they don’t all hit at once towards the wedding date.  I am considering working on DIY favors soon and also some of the stationary that I am not getting professionally done sometime this month.

I have signed up for a flower arranging class so I can start practicing.  Planning to order mine in bulk from Costco or Fifty Flowers and this will help me decide if I am going with the wedding kits or just bulk flowers.

Made a passport appointment for Tuesday since our honeymoon involves international travel. And I started researching the name-change process in my state so I know exactly what needs to be done. I know when the wedding comes my mind will be all over the place, so I am trying to set myself up with a specific to do list that I can file away for later.

Ordered Save the Dates–just got an email that they shipped, yah! I’ll be sending them out next month.

Need to finalize table linens, flowers and bridesmaid dresses this month.

Next month I will probably look at getting the invites started and transportation.

I’m in the middle of getting my wisdom teeth taken out and Fiance and I are also trying to figure out what to do with my car–my lease is up next month. So, that of course has taken and will take a good chunk of my time this month. Luckily, I’ve got a great wedding assistant as she likes to refer to herself (my sister) and my mom who have helped me with almost everything.

I have the ceremony site booked and they are providing the chairs and an officiant (ahh Vegas weddings) I have my bouquet picked out as well as the guys bouts. and informed the florist. We are making the BM’s bouquets out of silk flowers. I am pretty sure I have picked out the reception site (its narrowed down to 2 and once I get more info back and crunch numbers I will pick), I narrowed the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses down to 7 (all same designer) and decided to just let the girls chose but they will all have the same color. The BM’s have a deadline of the end of next month to chose and order. I sent out mass amounts of cake quotes today so will have a baker chosen before the end of the week ( already have a favorite based on reviews) but I already have the cake picked out. I mailed out STD’s yesterday and have moved on to getting everything prepared for the DIY invites. I am kind of waiting to hear back from a travel agent before I start on hotel stuff for us and our guests.

I feel like I have TONS left to do but I just dont really know what else lol

I just finished Save the Dates today!!! We’re mailing them tomorrow hopefully! I just booked the hair and makeup and the DJ this week too! We are still missing a videographer, limos, reception rentals, bridesmaids dresses, wedding bands, invitations, and rehearsal dinner. I think we’re doing pretty well! Job number one is to lose the last 25 pounds to get down to wedding weight! I definitely got scared reading the back fat thread the other day. The back of my dress goes down pretty low so I need to do about a million push ups between now and October!!!

working on the save the dates now, hoping to get them out within 2 weeks.  still need to: finalize rehearsal dinner & brunch venues, pick wedding menu, find Maid/Matron of Honor dress, MOB dress, wedding jewelry, book hair and make up ppl, design and print programs, menus, escort cards, can’t wait to begin dress fittings (must lose 15lbs), figure out cake topper, guestbook & recessional/farewell tosses, find gifts for the wedding party, umm I know there’s more.  partner needs to do tuxes methinks.  but we just selected our invitations this weekend so i’m soooooooooooooo excited!

We are having a Destination Wedding on Halloween in Vegas for about 35 people… so the ceremony site is booked, which includes photography, flowers, the officiant, and a limo ride to pick up our certificate.  The hotel is booked and rooms blocked for guests.  Our invites are STD/postcards which we sent out on Tuesday, with a link to our website (massively cheap alternative, $35 total!).  My dress and my bridesmaids dresses are ordered and paid for.

Next on our list is choosing wedding bands, ordering them, etc.  Trying to get the Fiance on the tux-train to take care of that business.  Need to figure out if we want to hire a photographer for the dinner and after.  Also need to find flights, shows, and a place to get tattoos. 🙂

I feel like I’ve already done so much… and yet, still have LOADS to do.

Will need to also plan an “at home reception dinner” but that is SO on the backburner!

Happy planning, all!

I’m in a lull too..

we’re going tonight to book our honeymoon, and I’m probably going to start printing my invitations soon so they are done and over with. Other than that I have to:

  • Go about cupcakes and find a stand for them
  • Go about the tuxes for the guys
  • Figure out music for the dj and ceremony
  • Take a trip to Buffalo, NY to pick up gifts for the gms
  • Figure out if we need a limo or not
  • Book the makeup artist
  • write vows
  • pick rehearsal dinner venue
  • order a surprise cake for FH for our rehearsal to celebrate his bday (2 days before the wedding)

that’s basically it.  Not all that much, little things that are for whatever reason stressing me out. I’m also a bm in 2 other weddings, and FH is a gm in 2 seperate weddings this year too.  June 11 begins the chaos of wedding season for me!!

Done: venue, officiant, dress, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, photo, video, florist, band, cake (no contract yet but tasted etc.), make-up, Save-The-Date Cards sent out & invites chosen, booked date for e-photo shoot.

Up next: hotel block (ummm so behind here), FH going to buy his tux, order invites (my grandmother is going to do all the envelopes in calligraphy and needs extra time), find hairstylist, get ensemble/hair/makeup set up for e-photo shoot, rehearsal dinner venue (kind of FH’s problem but I’m helping), choose theme/time for bridal shower (I do NOT want a surprise, nor do I want kitchen tools, FH is the cook, I don’t cook at all, and I don’t want to fake excitement over pots and pans).
