Hi, everyone!
I’m struggling to decide between a 7 mm or 7.5 mmmoissanite solitaire for my ering. I have a size 6 finger and just can’t make up my mind! What do you ladies think?

This photo is of another ring I have that is a 7 mm citrine in a small halo setting, 1.5 mm band.

This is a 6.5 mm C&C Forever One I tried on at Helzberg.

And this is an 8 mm, which I felt was too large…but I’m really not sure! They didn’t have a 7.5mm for me to try.

What do you think, ladies? The 7.5mm seems like a good compromise between the two, but I’m worried about overwhelming my short, stubby fingers. Thank you!

Doesnt seem like your pictures uplaoded but if you felt the 8 was too big then defintiely dont go for that one.

@brianamarie: Thank you for the response! I hopped on my laptop and edited the post. I made the original post on my cell, and it didn’t work out right.

@rooiboschai: I love the look of the 7mm size! Since you said there is a little halo on that one then I would say do the 7.5 mm for a soliatire(:

My first moissanite was a 7mm, which made me want a 7.5mm, and now I want an 8mm. Definitely get the 8mm! I’m a size 6.

I have size 6 fingers and when I tried The 8mm I felt like it was too big on my hand. I ended up telling my boyfriend I would prefer 7.5

I have a 7.5 mm on a size 6.75 finger, and I absolutely love the size. However, I’m a little partial to simple and more dainty looks, but I do not feel like this is dainty at all!

If you have already tried 8mm and felt it was too big, I’d say skip that one. I have a beautiful, sparkling moissy that my husband surprised me with. I felt it was too big when he first gave it to me and I’ve continued to feel that way in the 6 years since he gave it to me. Fortunately, that isn’t my only ring so I only wear it when one of my others are being cleaned (and occasionally when he comments that he hasn’t seen it in a while because he loves it). I’d be bummed if that was my only ring, though.
That 7mm looks great on your hand so I’d say go with that one since you’ve seen it and you know how it looks. If you tend to be someone who likes to baby step their way to greatness 😉 then I’d say go with the 7.5 mm and give yourself some time to get used to it.

I had a 7.5mm moissanite and when I first got it, I thought it was huge because my diamond was a little shy of 1 ct. Stone shrinkage is real….I wasnt happy until I got an 8mm. Then I added an enhancer. Now I am thinking of an 8.5mm solitare. I have a size 6.75 finger and my fingers are short as well. Moissanite is so hard to decideon a size since the price doesn’t go up much as the ct size increases.

I tend to lean toward bigger stones but I really like the 7mm on you- it looks so proportional! I would get either 7 or 7.5mm
