Hi everyone! I’m getting married on 7th June 2014 so I thought I would make a post (I couldn’t see an existing one) for everyone getting married on this date!
So far I have:
Hair and makeup
How is everyone else getting on – it feels like time is starting to fly past!!

I’m June 7th! We’ve been engaged since last October so I’ve gotten the big stuff done.
Venue (includes catering & bar, tables/chairs linens, etc)
Caremony venue w/ officiant and music
Mine and Fiance bands
Working on centerpieces
Sent Save the Dates
Website is done
We’re meeting a decor rental company next week and I’m starting to look for videographers and make up artists, DJ, possibly limos. Need to do a hotel block. Planning to start looking for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses in Dec/Jan. Need to find shoes/accessories. I’m so busy being away at school I hardly have time to get most of it done! It will be here before we know it!

For June 7th, so far we have:
Reception venue & catering & DJ
Ceremony venue & officiant & violinist
My band (ring)
Centerpeices are mostly done
Save the Dates are just about finished and being sent out in 2 weeks
Bridesmaids dresses picked out
Hair stylists booked
and I have started designing our invitations!

I’m also June 7th! I got engaged December 2012.
-Block Space hotel rooms for guests
-Wedding Band (mine not his yet)
-Tux rentals/Grooms tux
-Invitation card stock (DIY havent found a design yet)
-Wedding song/Dads first dance wedding song
I still have a lot to do- I am getting a photobooth as well and I really want to do Save the Dates..but some people say I shouldn’t because it’s not a long weekend or anything, but I kind of want to anyway lol but is it too late? I have no idea 🙁 And do you send them to EVERYONE or just out of town people?
You all have a lot done! I don’t have my dress! For some reason that’s the last thing on my mind lol I want to lose weight and plus I posted one dress that I LOVE but I dont know the designer or anything so I am hoping someone on this website can help me figure out who designs it so I can see the front.

I’m a June 7 bride! We have been engaged since December 8, 2012.
So far we have:
Venue, DJ, Caterer, photographer, cupcakes, decorations, Save the Dates (sent), website, centerpieces, cake topper, escort card holders, bridesmaid dresses & jewelry, bouquets (paper flowers), my dress and accessories, Bridesmaid or Best Man and Groomsmen gifts, we’ve registered, candy bar containers, invitations but not assembled… lots done but lots left to go!
Ever since we mailed out our Save the Dates it seems so much more real! 🙂

Oh holy hannah, you guys just made me very anxious. We have:
Venue (inn so both the ceremony and reception will be there, they are doing the food and set up plus our guests get rooms!)
In talks with the invite people, a dressmaker to make the maid of honor, my mom and potentially his mom and flower girl.
Crap, I have to get going. Does this make anyone else tired?

@catwoman1701: I’m working a full time job, house hunting, going back to school full time and planning a wedding. Bahaha. You’re darn right it makes me tired! But also excited so I try and lean on the excited part.

Let’s see, we have:
Venue (food and linens included. We did our regular food tasting, but not our cake yet)
Two hotel blocks (the b&b at the venue is too small for everyone, so we booked an extra hotel just down the street)
Invitations selected, but not purchased (save the dates were sent already, it’s semi-destination so we wanted them out early)
And we have pretty good ideas for bridal party attire, we just have to order it.

We’re 7 June 2014 for our reception/vow renewal, and 25 Oct. 13 for our legal ceremony (health insurance reasons). So far, we have…
Venue (for both)
Catering and setup, except for cake (for the reception; we’ll just go out to eat at a really nice Japanese restaurant in town after the legal bit) is included with the venue.
Officiant for the legal bit (probate court judge); still need to arrange for the person leading our vow renewal
iPod for the music for the reception

I have my dress for the legal bit, and am 90% decided on my dress for the reception (need to make a final decision this week). Fiance needs a new suit for the legal bit (which we’re doing next week) and is buying a different suit for the reception. I’m looking at Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses next week for the reception. I still need shoes for both and other accessories for the reception.
Save-the-dates are printed and going out this week.
We just ordered our wedding bands this week, and they should be coming in in a couple weeks.
I still need to get a florist for the reception, cake for the reception, invitations, hotels/villas arranged for for the Out of Town guests, and BM/GM gifts. Registry… we’re hemming and hawing (we’re both in our late 30s and can’t think of anything we really NEED, but know that there are some people who will be really upset if we DON’T register). I also need to arrange for hair/makeup for everyone, but I have a feeling that will be waiting until after Christmas.
I have ideas for centerpieces, favors and out-of-town bags but need to execute a trial run in time for the legal bit.

He proposed on 6th April 2014 and we married on 7th June. Total “planning time” 2 months + 1 day.. Even then we had everything we needed organised in under 2 weeks.
I cant get my head around people who fret over trivial things like table decorations, flowers and seating plans.
If your panicking over material elements because you feel you have to put on a big ‘show’ then you’ve lost sight of the true meaning of marriage.

suzioag: I think that’s a bit of a generalization. I have general anxiety disorder and am pretty Type A, so I freaked out about a lot of the little details. I literally spent months looking for the exact right table numbers because I couldn’t find the ones that fit what I saw in my head. I was so afraid that the bridesmaid dresses wouldn’t arrive in time that I found replacements at David’s Bridal that I could buy myself for each of them and have waiting at the venue if needed.
However, having a panic attack over table numbers in no way diminishes the fact that I married the man I love and that the best parts of the day were saying our vows to each other and seeing the smiles on the faces of the people most important to us.

my point is that all the fretting is pointless in the end because things like that trivial as your too high on life to even notice those things on the day.
