I’m sure there are a thousand of these posts… but I’d love any and all opinions!! 🙂
I have not taken BC since 2013 & AF is very regular. I have been tracking just AF since July 2015 to start learning my body for when my DH and I were ready to TTC.
AF was due 2/6. I am NEVER late… AF always shows 4th-6th of every month. I have had slight cramping on and off for two days, feeling a little bloated, and have felt a little nauseous here and there. These are the only “symptoms” I have felt.
Took a HPT yesterday (day 7) and today (day 8) – both BFN. Obviously if a few weeks pass by without a BFP or AF I will go see my doctor- but do you all think I still have a chance this month? I am brand new to this and do not want to get my hopes up yet just in case.
Any personal experience/input would be greatly appreciated!! 🙂

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but if you are a week late, almost any HPT should register that. There have been a few exceptions, though, and sometimes we ovulate later, so hope is not lost. Fx for you!

Missing one period is not normally a reason to seek medical attention.
You can do the “Check Your Symptoms” section if you like. It will give you information on if and when you should see a doctor.

Keep waiting and test once a week. Unless you ovulated super late and got pregnant, it’s probably just a weird cycle!

Now CD64 – Have officially missed AF twice. Still getting BFN. What in the world!? Trying to go as long as possible without going to the doc….

I would say two missed periods is a good reason to see the doctor, assuming you’re normally very regular. Have you lost some weight/are you very thin? Are you really stressed out right now?

I once went 51 days without a period. Still have no idea why.

If you are sure you are a week late, an HPT would have dedected a BFP by now, however, I have read stories where some women only got BFP confirmed through blood work and not on a HPT. It can happen. Anything is possible. Also, your body can also randomly change its course and might have decided to fool you this cycle and O later than the usual or not O yet. Crazy bodies! GL lady 🙂

So I went to the doc after I missed AF twice… she had my blood tested for my thyroid only (I’m 5’4″ & 175lbs = so overweight) and a urine preg test (which both showed neg)… she said if I didn’t receive AF in the next THREE months to go back… Well on CD82, super frustrated.. I turned to google to see if there were any tricks in jump starting AF. Took a HPT just to make sure… still BFN…then I took a ton of vitamin C and low and behold – – AF showed her lovely self. Now just waiting to see if I ovulate this month..
So crazy – this has never happened before!
