- Wedding: August 2014
Well bees – it was perfect (I should hope so – he’s had enough time to think about it!).
We have gone to the family villa in Spain, just the two of us for a quiet week away from work.
He proposed the first full night we were there as he couldn’t wait any longer!
i went to the kitchen to make us each a cocktail (so glad I did as I needed it after!) – and Fiance (squee!) told me not to go upstairs to the roof terrace. When I finished making the cocktails I asked if I could come up (and was told ‘Just a few more minutes’ in a rather tense voice!).
When I was allowed up the roof terrace was full of heart-shaped candle lanterns, in the warm breeze, under the stars with the mountains and the town behind us(below) Sorry for the huge pics:
‘What’s this?’ I asked – and he got down on one knee and said ‘this is me asking if you will marry me and be my wife?’. Fiance tried to record all of this on a time lapse but it’s too dark (we got some frined who specialise in this sort of thing so we’ll see what they can do with the video).
Of course I said yes, and then Fiance asked if I liked the ring? I said I did, but I couldn’t really see it, so he brought a lantern over for me to see it better and it is truly beautiful, better than I could have hoped for. We then sat on the roof terrace under the stars, and I kissed him about a million times!
We then went down to the main terrace to drink our cocktails and take a few photos:
I look about 12 in this one but I really am 27!)
I’ve been waiting for this for so long, and it was absolutely perfect!
As we’re still away, I only have a few iphone pics of the ring… an E Colour, VSI 0.45 princess cut with 0.10 baguettes eitherside.
