I love the tradition of having all of the married couples dance a song at the wedding, to celebrate the institution of marriage as well as their enduring love.
Sometimes couples have them join in for the last bit of the first dance song but others will have a separate song just for the marrieds. Here are some ideas for the latter:
I *LOVE* Edwin McCain, saw him last summer in concert and it was terrific:
I’ve suggested this one by Michale Buble before — SUCH a great song to celebrate love:
This is an oldie, sort of, but I <3 it because it was my cousin’s wedding song around 25 years ago – and it’s very apprpropriate, and mellow:
Are you doing a dance at your wedding to celebrate those beloved married couples in your life? If so, what song will they dance to?
Tomorrow let’s look at an idea for Unity Candle / Sand Ceremony etc. songs.

LOVE Buble’s “Everything” — it makes me extra emotional with our wedding fast approaching!

I love that Edwin McCain song! I believe our DJ did an Anniversary Dance song and I think he played “It Had to Be You” by Harry Connick, Jr. for the song.
Actually, I had asked him not to do one (my mom is divorced and my Grandpa passed away, so I felt like it was going to isolate the two most important women in my life), but he did it anyway. Personally, I kinda wanted to just get the party started with dance songs! Although it was kind of a weird moment when he asked for all the married couples and I moved to go sit down. My husband was like “uh, that’s us now…” 😉
