I will first say it’s a really good size on you because your fingers are long. I personally would not go for the white white moissanite colorless stones because they look almost blue.  I bet a near colorless would be amazing especially in yellow gold.

How long have you had it? I think it looks great. I am a lover of larger stones…. but I don t think it looks like too much.

Looks like a perfect size.  Love the setting, I agree with pp, a warmer stone would look better.  However, it still looks amazing as is!

Give it time.

binhhua14 :  No that size looks fantastic on you!! It’s perfect on your finger! I did experience something similar, when I first got my ring I felt it was massive (mine was a 7mm round, same ring size as you) and it took about a year to really get used to it. But by then the 7mm seemed small to me and I ended up getting a bigger stone! ๐Ÿ˜‚ So give it time. 6 months, at least, for you to adjust.

Feeling like it looks very white and plastic is another problem altogether…it might help for you to buy a CZ to compare, so you can really see the difference, because nothing in your photos looks too white or plasticy to me. Your stone looks like it has a beautiful depth and sparkle. It’s ironic that some people are saying the colorless moissy is now too white, when it being too warm was the primary complaint before lol. I think the colorless is gorgeous but I like a crisp, colorless gem…if that’s not your preference perhaps consider switching the gem to a lower color grade for an anniversary. But keep the size, it’s perfect!

Can we see some more photos please? Side view??

I had that same initial regret about my stone being too big. I kept it and after a few months I am more used to the size. You can try to sell it but if you wont get much for it then I would just keep it. You could maybe make the stone into a pendant or something. I personally dont think your ring looks too big

Its a beautiful size for you, and shrinkage is not imaginary, before long it will seem like a small dainty little ring, even though its not. As for the stone, it is very pretty but I would of guessed CZ,ย

still beautiful , enjoy and congrats

I think the size is great! Forever one moissanite is very white, so maybe a Forever brilliant or another moissanite brand cushion would be a good choice for you? This is one of the problems I had when I had an 8mm Colorless hearts and arrows from moissaniteco. It was too big and too white.  So I ended up selling it and going with a different brand of moissanite and different cut. Your stone doesn’t look like cz to me, it looks like a moissanite.

Also if you end up deciding to sell your Forever One, I highly recommend you checking out the Harro gem Pillow cut. I have one of their ovals and I’m in love with it! Their cushions look amazing as well, they have the option of an elongated cushion brilliant cut, elongated crushed ice (modified brilliant) cut, or rectangular cut with less rounded edges. I believe they do also cut 1:1 ratio cushions upon request if you’d want the shape you have now. And you can chose between E-F color or G-H color. I know I talk about this brand of moissanite a lot but they really are amazing and the most diamond like option I’ve seen thus far! Here’s a pic of their elongated pillow brilliant cut, and then the bottom pic is the elongated brilliant cut next to the crushed ice elongated pillow cut. Goodluck to you!!

Is it a forever one? They often read very white.

binhhua14 :  I think it is perfect on you! I believe in going a little bigger than you think you initially want in preparation for the time when shrinkage sets in. After wearing it awhile, it won’t look so large anymore. Trust me. ๐Ÿ™‚

The sizing is perfect on your finger. I wouldn’t go any smaller. Love the setting as well. And unless you can return the setting still, you’ll mat be stuck with something in the same size range. Which I personally love. The side stones on the setting are diamond so do you see a difference between the diamond side stones and the moissy? Maybe moissonite isn’t for you but I think you should explore the Amora and harro gem options as mentioned as well. If you can’t return it, it can always serve as a “travel” ring in place of your real stone. You can always put it in an inexpensive plain gold setting. I was thinking of getting a travel ring myself. I always worry with taking mine and leaving it in the hotel safe.

binhhua14 :  I know this thread is awhile back, but may i ask if your forever one moissy is the colourless range? Did you end up keeping it?

i’m thinking of getting a 8mm round or cushion cut F1, but i’m torn on which colour to get. I like colourless, but i’m scared of the ‘plastic’ effect.

Welcome any other bees’ input on Moissy colour range?

I think it looks great on you. Perfect size, and it’s  just and all round gorgeous ring. Doesnt look like a CZ.
