first of all I can not believe I am posting one of these because I have been so laid back about the dress and other details until now With a 9 days left I have become really anxious about everything all at once. Anyway I was in love with my dress when I bought it, at my fittings and when I picked it up this afternoon. And now tonight after putting it back on all of a sudden I fee undwhelmed by it and worried it fits wrong. I’m happy with the fit in the back and the profile view but when I look at myself from the front I feel… Frumpy? I don’t have that glowing bride feeling.
I don’t know if this is because I have tried it on too many times, or if it really is too big and I just felt better about it at the seamstress because of lighting.
Am I being crazy? Is it fine? Can I hide flaws in photos and with my bouquet? Be real with me bees! Fwiw the dress is bustled in this pic and it doesn’t feel big, it feels comfortable… i have no idea how it’s so tight on the model tbh, it’s not really cut that way.

Stunning! You are by no means frumpy!!

It actually looks better on you than the model!!!
HA! the model is the one that looks a bit frumpy.. no joke.
It’s beautiful on you!
Maybe just take a little break from wedding stuff for a bit. Watch your favourite show or something.
it’s all coming together and its almost here. You look wonderful. I promise.

Do you love the dress? If so thats all that matters. If not keep in mind you can search again but with only 9 days left that might be awfully stressful! I’m sure you’ll look beautiful regardless but honestly I kind of see what you mean.

k8goeslz : You look gorgeous. The dress looks tighter on the model because of the way she is standing/ maybe she has some pins? Either way, I think it kind of looks weird on the model…it almost looks like is stretching.

It looks a bit big from the chest area

It’s beautiful! The model’s pic shows a shorter distance for the sleeves, but it looks like it fits you well! The only thing I can think of to try to make the top fit you like that would be chicken cutlets. But seriously, you look beautiful.
The gown is gorgeous, and when you have your jewelry and veil on, it’s going to look so bridal and perfect.

metta1980 : thanks so much. This is good advice. I think I’ll take the weekend off from it- it can all wait untill monday.
heavenlyflower : I do love it, I don’t regret the dress just worried the alterations wern’t right. She said she couldn’t adjust the bust anymore because of the lace/style. I also went down in size in my boobs since starting alterations- none of my bras fit anymore. It’s frustrating. But def do not want a new dress in 9 days LOL.
BalletParker : I’m going to do this I think good advice. Some cutlets and some fashion tape.
thankyou everyone for your kind words! This site has been a life saver this past week- I usually thrive on stress at work, so these feelings have been unanticipated. I never knew I could be so stressed out about a party and an outfit! You guys are the best!

You look far more stunning in the dress than the model! I agree with the suggestion of chicken cutlets if you’d like a bit more oomph in the bust, which I think might be what you are seeing on the model that you’re not seeing on yourself. However, I think you look perfect without changing a think. 9 days out is stressful — give yourself a break! You’re going to be a gorgeous bride.
