My fingers is larger than that, but everytime I have flip flopped between 2 sizes, and gone with the smaller, I have regretted it.  So I say 9mm.

I personally would go with the 8.5mm, because I find that after about 8mm the stone gets in the way and I bump it a lot. If that’s not a problem for you, then get the bigger one πŸ™‚

I think it depends on the setting also. I have an 8mm bezel that looks bigger than my 9mm solitaire. But you won’t notice much of a difference, so go 9mm lol πŸ˜‰

I lately wear the 9mm but my finger is size 7-7.5…sometimes it feels big, other times I love it. Depends on whom I am with. I had an 8.5mm that I loved too!

I am one of those who is actually more on the “bigger is not always better” side of things.

My left ring finger is a 5. I had an 8.5mm moissanite solitaire that I bought secondhand just to try out mostly as I was curious about the setting and the size. The ring itself was sized at a 5.25 or 5.5 as I size all my rings up due to my knuckle, for swelling, and for comfort when wearing more rings.

The stone itself was gorgeous (it was a classic OEC) but I did not like the size. I found it too large and a bit “lollipop-like” for me even with a low setting. I have no problem telling people when I am wearing moissanite, but I also found strangers just staring at my hand (to be fair it is not a common size in my area) which I did not like since I prefer to wear the jewelry, rather than have it wear me, KWIM? I am just not someone who likes much attention, so that did not work for me.

Obviously not everyone has that issue (and as far as I know, the new owner loves it!), and lots like you love big rocks, but that was my experience πŸ™‚ My sweet spot for size/daily wear for a round solitaire is actually around a 7-7.5mm, as even 8mm is pushing it though I did wear a bezeled 8mm for about four years.

I have a 8.5mm…2.5ct fb moissanite and my ring finger is a size 7.5. I have been seriously thinking about down sizing to a .75ct or 1ct. So many ppl stare at my hand and it makes me feel really uncomfortable. Plus with my lifestyle there is no way I could afford a diamond that size. So either ppl think it’s fake or that I pressured my husband into debt.

I have an 8.5 and finger size is 3.5. Perfect size in my opinion but a little more wouldn’t make too much of a difference I think?

I have a 8mm on size 6 and sometimes to me it seems huge and I sometimes find myself being self conscious about it.  BUT I’m sure if I went smaller I’d think it was too small lol

I’m wearing an 8.5 mm FB moissanite (on a size 5 finger) and haven’t noticed any staring from anyone. If they did stare I’m not likely to notice either, as I don’t really care. My “don’t give a sh*t” attitude may also stem from age, as well as the fact that 2-3 carat stones are the norm where I live.

This isn’t a moissy, its CZ but it’ll give you a size reference! This is my “tester” ring to check how big a stone I’m getting. I’m getting either a 9 or 10 mm morganite, this particular ring is 9 mm. I LOVE big rocks, so definitely bigger the better! I am a size 4 – 4.5, the ring is a size 5.

Btw, a lot of bees on here always are against big rings. Most of them will tell you not to do it. Don’t listen, do what you like the most on your finger! Big rocks never get in my way. I love them. Anything smaller than 9 mm just wasn’t my style.
