I have a 9×7 yellow topaz ring and my finger is a size 10. It looks big on me! I wouldn’t want anything larger. (I never wear the ring anymore because it was from an ex, but can find it and take a picture of it on my finger if you’re interested.)

Another vote for the 9×7; 10×8 will be reeeeally large.

This is my 9×6 morganite RHR, ring size 5.5:

I voted for the 9×7- it will look both substantial and restrained compared to the other one.

rachleah :  I recently went to see the wax of my ring and he put in a 9×7/2ct CZ. I have a size 7 finger and think it looks appropriate. I wouldn’t go bigger.

aldo check out  https://www.diamdb.com/  You can “try on” all different size stones and compare.

rachleah :  I don’t know if this will help at all but I have an 8×6 moissanite on a 4.5 size finger. I’d definitely go with 9×7. For your size of finger I think it’ll be perfect.

I voted for 9×7, but perhaps you can go into a jewelry store and try on rings with centerstones close to 9×7 and 10×8?

My centerstone is around 9.6×6.6mm and I’m a size 6.

My ring is an 8×6, but with the halo it’s about 9×7, so if you squint really hard you can try to picture it. 🙂  My finger size is 5.75.

If you are going to pass it off as a diamond, i’d stick to 9×7.  But if you have no qualms about everyone knowing it’s a moissy, i’d totally upgrade to the 10×8!!!  Go big or go home, right?  I’m constantly wishing mine was bigger.

My ring is around 10×8 and I actually LOVE the size, although I was worried it’d be too big. Mine is sapphire though, and I feel like larger sizes are more expected/accepted in a color stone. Also, if it helps a 9×7 diamond is actually closer to 1.8 ct, while a 10×8 diamond is closer to 2.25. Not sure why places always inflate the mm to ct of a stone, but plug the mm into a diamond weight calculator and you’ll see it’s true.

9×7 on a 6.5 finger. I didn’t want to go any bigger, for fear of it looking too cocktail-y! 😊
