    I have a 3.02 ct oval diamond (11.10 x 8.52) center stone. The baguettes are about the equivalent of a 2.4 mm band, and my hand is about your size (the ring is a size 5).

    As for the size, it totally depends on the look you’re going for. If you’re trying to pass it as a diamond, I would go for the smaller size, but it doesn’t sound like you are, so then I would suggest trying stuff on in stores. I used diamdb.com before I got my ring, and while the finger coverage was spot on, seeing it virtually is so much different than seeing it in a setting on your hand.

    My finger size is 5.25 and my oval sapphire is 9x7mm. Hope that helps!
