Ah, a kindred spirtit. I am smack in the middle of the hardest semster of nursing school (holy crap critical care cardicology is INSANITY) and your title about sums up my feelings too. I find that if I make an EXTREMELY specific list of exactly what I need to get done, it helps me because I feel like I accomplish something. For example. not for school but for house work I have instead of listing “Clean Bathroom” I have “Clean sink, sweep floors, wash rugs, scrub tub, organize cabinet” so then I feel accomplished when I mark something off. Of course some may feel overwhelmed by the mass of a list that way, but to me, it is more SMALLER things, and I can go stick rugs in the washer in all of 2 minutes and cross that off, instead of stressing about “I have so much to do!” and just never starting.

We have 10 weeks left, which seems like a lot but isn’t all at the same time considering all the stuff to do… Luckily for me, this is the hardest one, the next (and LAST!!!) one this fall is a coast with almost no class time, its all practical in clinic time. This semester is hell on earth of lectures, we had 4 days last week of straight 8-5 lecture. And all the grades are tests, and nursing tests are notorious for “which is the BEST” kind of questions, not “which is correct” because usually 3/4 answers are correct according to the texts/lecutres but one is MOST right, and which that is can totally depend on how you are thinking about the question which is usually not how the prof writing the test was.
