Hey, bees!
I want to have my father and step-father give me away, but I am not sure how I want to do this. I don’t think that I want one on each side. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks so much!

Perhaps you can have one man walk you down the aisle and then the second will join you when you reach the alter. When the priest asks, "Who presents this woman to be married?" they can both answer, "We do. "
My friend who did this had her father walk her part of the way down the aisle and her stepfather did the other part… but that seems to me to carry a certain symbolism that might not be appropriate in your case, so it’s very likely that I’ve been absolutely no help at all 🙂
I’ve heard of some people having one walk them half way down the aisle and the other take over and walk the other half.
What about giving one the honor of walking you down the aisle and the other the honor of father/daughter dance?
What about letting one walk you down the aisle and letting the other lift the blush veil? (Of course, this only works if you have a blush veil…)
Or you can walk down the aisle alone and meet them both at the end!
I’ll second or third the idea of having one walk you part of the way down the aisle and the other walk you the remainder of the way down the aisle. I think that’s a pretty good compromise, as long as they aren’t the type who’ll fight over which person gets which leg of the walk. 🙂
Thanks, Ladies! I like the idea of one dad walking me half way down the aisle and the other walking me the remainder of the way. I think that’s the way I will go. I greatly appreciate your advice.
My solution is definitely a little bit unusual, but my dad is walking me down the aisle and my stepdad is marrying us! He’s a great public speaker and perfect for the role. 🙂
