There’s an urgent care/dr’s office down the street from where I live (it’s right in the middle of a residential area, which is strange to me) that I refuse to go to because my last experience there was so awful.  I’ve told everyone I know about how much it sucks and hopefully they will stay away, too!  I used to let my dog crap in their grass all the time and not clean it up, secretly hoping that the nurse and one of the doctors would step in it…then I realized that some decent person would probably step in it, or get stuck cleaning it up, so I stopped.

I refuse to go to McDonald’s!  I also greatly limit Walmart because I think they are a huge marketing giant that kills the small local companies.

I will not go to a local yoga studio. I went there before, they had PETA handouts all over their counter encouraging people to take them. I will not support any business/group that actively supports PETA or HSUS. (I like ASPCA and local shelters.)

I also will not buy anything from petstores that sell puppies. Those are puppymill puppies, no reputable breeder would sell their puppies through a 3rd party, so I wont even buy as much as a collar or leash from such a place.

I won’t go to Tim Horton’s because they came out actively against gay marriage.

edit: there is a chance they have since changed their policy, but I can’t shake the feeling that they recinded just to get business.

I have boycotted Bridal Party Oil as much as I can, though I know you can’t tell what oil you are getting from a lot of gas stations. When I get a new car it will definitely be a hybrid, hopefully all electric at that point.

I boycott my local Subway, just because the last time I went there, the guy working was so rude I wanted to punch him in the face. So now I drive 10 minutes further to the other Subway. Admittedly, this is petty, but even now I want to punch him in the face…so it’s probably better for all parties if I don’t go back.

I actively avoided Walmart for a really long time, but they built  one by our gym and its really easy to run in there for last minute items so I caved.
