So I’m doing bunting, but I can barely sew and don’t have a machine myself. My Maid/Matron of Honor has one I can use, but I’m wondering – did anybody do “no-sew” bunting for their wedding, and if so, did it look fine? We’re doing a vintage modern thing and so it doesn’t need to be perfect, but I don’t want it to look cheap and slapped together, either.
Thank ya!

you can make one out of paper, Ms. Stripes made a blog post about it one time

OH I know those were so cute! But I just scored a buttload of clearance fabric in our colors, and we’re doing them strung around the perimeter of our venue (which is wrapped in a deck) and also making a ceremony arch from them (with two poles on either side holding them up), so I want them big enough and also need them to be able to hold up in transport, shuffling around, etc… I just may tackle mini paper bunting though for other areas 😉

you could make a diamond template in cardboard and use some good scissors (or a quilting rotary cutter thing) and then try using something like liquid stitch, a little along the top line (near the string) and then a bit on the point… you may have to go back and refine your cut lines, but that’d probably be a fairly easy no-sew diy

I saw where someone used burlap and “stitched” through it with a large needle and twine or yarn.

Thanks! Liquid Stitch is a great idea. Good ideas, ladies 😉
