I am wearing Maggie Sottero’s Bianca and I hadn’t thought of bustling until I saw a photo of someone else wearing a Maggie dress with a bustle.
Question 1: Do I need to bustle my dress?
I will likely only wear the dress for the ceremony, photos and dinner.
Question 2: Can you show me how you bustled your Maggie dress.
Question 3: Can I bustle my own dress? and how?
I won’t have help, save for maybe the photographer and the owner of the venue. I did not and hadn’t planned on having alterations as the dress fit off the rack, even the length checks out fine.
I am trying to save some time and frustration.

If you’re not going to try to dance in your dress, I don’t think that you need to bustle it. I kept mine un-bustled for a long time and walked around in it, etc with no problem (other than that the train got dirty from being outside).
I would not try to bustle it yourself unless you have a dressmaker dummy or someone around your size to wear it while you bustle it and you have some sewing experience. From looking at the dress (which is gorgeous!) I think that it would be sort of complicated to bustle. A one-point American bustle (which is the simplest type) wouldn’t really fit this dress, and I wouldn’t want to attempt a French bustle unless I knew what I was doing.
