You could always get fondant with a layer of buttercream under it if you like the smooth look on the cakes! That’s what my husband and I did and it was yummy and beautiful 🙂

are you hoping to use ribbon or have it be an edible part of the cake?

To me, it looks like they put an icing design on the ribbon. Which could be a good alternative to looking up and down for the exact ribbon that you want.

You can definitely find ribbon with a similar pattern on it.  We used ribbon with a swirly pattern on a buttercream cake.  It totally looked clean and straight like fondant as well.  Just be careful because if you use wired ribbon, it won’t sit flat on the cake.  We learned that the hard way.  I still think it was pretty though with the fancy ribbon.

im am doing damask and yay found my baker she is doing a 4 tier cake with every tier a different flavor and filling for only 360!!!!! heres my cake
