I would play off of the restuarant decor just make it “amore” rustic, vineyard… really helps you have to do less.

Maybe research “historic italy” or something like that… makes me think of the movie “A Good Year” (even though I think it’s set in France and not in Italy.. lol)

See what you can pull from the culture of it rather than the whole ‘wedding’ stigma

Hope that helps some… Looks like you still got plenty of time πŸ˜‰

Since you are having a sit down dinner at Olive Garden, I wouldn’t even bother with decor. The only thing that I might do is put out a small favor. Maybe get some tiny bottles and put some Italian oil in them; buy it in a large bottle to keep the cost down, and put a partial clove of garlic in the oil for decoration in the bottle and to make it unique. You could attach a small charm that says thank you to the bottle with some twine or raffie. You can get the thank you charms at Joanns or Michaels. They come quite a few in a package. I can’t remember how many, but I am pretty sure one package would be enough for the amount of guests you are having, and you can use a coupon to get a discount.

I 2nd @noritake22 sounds much more reasonable to me! lol

Really though, don’t let what you’ve seen at “others weddings” dictate what you think yours needs. It’s about you your FH and ya’lls families coming together to celebrate ya’ll becoming one. Just love, laugh, and enjoy! =)

@runsyellowlites: lol, I can tell you that planning for others is a lot more fun than planning for myself. I am so glad I am done with my wedding. Now all I have to do is sit back and relax, until the big day. Oh, and I have hired a day of to make sure my day goes right, so I won’t have to worry aobut it. She has already warned me about trying to micro manage πŸ™‚
