@MissDarthVader:  Sure!  I did a double major with accounting and finance.  I was originally going to go the CPA route, but after I worked at a tax firm and then did a corporate accounting internship I realized it wasn’t for me.  I’m going to be working in the consulting helping create business process software.  It’s been four and a half years (and 150 credit hours) and I am so, so ready to finally graduate!

What are you majoring in/what do you plan on doing for a career?

@discodance:  Oh, wow! I’m getting a very similar degree. I’ll be getting a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. I hope to become an actuary, however, so I hope to take the SOA exams (at least two by the time I graduate). I’ve been in school for 3 1/2 years and have 2 left. I’ve been very indecisive and have had to make some logical decisions and change career paths. (I’ve always wanted to be an architect but there really isn’t any jobs out there for architects right now.)

@MissDarthVader:  That’s awesome!  Surprisingly I don’t meet a lot of other people who do accounting and finance together like that.  Being an actuary would be pretty cool.  I don’t know much about the SOA exams, but I suspect they’re pretty difficult.  Five and a half years of school would be rough.  It sounds like you made a wise decision on the job front – I have several friends who did architecture and only one has managed to find a job (two years after she graduated).

The end of this semester is killing me. I’m debating doing a rushed, crap job just to get things over and done with or go slower and do a somewhat better job, and risk not finishing everything in time. I’m thinking rushed, crap job just to get it over with. I’m counting down until the end of the semester and to Christmas, so I’m totally happy just getting shit done and over with so I can get to the good stuff!!

In the next 3 weeks, I have 6 tests and two papers due (and I’m not even planning a wedding yet!) but I feel like either I’m going to break down and cry at any minute, or my head is going to explode.

I absolutely can’t wait for this semester to be over with. I have a 40 page paper due in two weeks and, with all of this wedding planning, I can’t get anything done. My fiancee keeps joking that I should just drop out of school and be a typical Army Wife but he just says it because he knows it makes me cringe. I can’t wait to get my masters in May. Unfortunately it won’t be the end of school for me since I’m becoming a teacher 😛

@FutureMrsWeston:  I’m just the opposite of you, with all this paper writing I can’t get any wedding planning done!!  Keep it up though and don’t even think about dropping out!  You’re way too far into it.

@Omgbunnies:  I’m going for the rush, crap job… lol I’m too excited for Christmas.

I have a term paper due tomorrow and a presentation with a group that doesn’t work very well together. ughhhh

@MrsShev:  I’m totally with you on this too! I can’t concentrate, and i’m trying to find anything and everything to distract me on what i’m really supposed to be working on. UGH please let this semester be over with PRONTO!

Yeah I’m in my final semester of my two Masters degree and it completely blows. I just want to be able to go out wth friends and watch tv instead of writing papers at all hours of the night.
