My brother died this morning. He was supposed to walk me down the aisle. Now, I almost don’t even feel like getting married. My heart is broken completely. He was my big brother, my hero. I can’t even imagine life without him and things from the past keep coming up in my mind like a video that keeps playing over and over again. I know he’s at peace now but I don’t even know how to get through this. I’ve survived both of my parents dying and those were things that took a very long time to get over. This one is going to take even longer.
Sorry if this is a downer for some of you guys, but I had to write this out. It made me feel a bit better.

Hey rol, I can’t even pretend to know how badly you must be hurting right now. Big hugs to you. You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers this week. Just take things one day at a time, and don’t make any big decisions until you’ve had time to clear your head. I’m so sorry for your loss…

I’m very VERY sorry for your loss!
Was it sudden and unexpected? No matter. It’s a horrible thing to go thru nonetheless. I hope you eventually come to feel better. If your wedding is soon. Don’t postpone it, not for long at least.
I’m sure love ones that pass do not want us to stop living our lives and being happy. It might sound cliche but he will be there with you, whenever you marry.

I am very sorry to hear about your brother! But I can also say that I can relate since I’ve lost 2 brothers myself and it can be painful…but as we all know life must go on but our brothers will forever remain in our hearts for sure. How do we get over the pain? We don’t… but we just take it one day at a time and hope that God will comfort and mend broken hearts.
I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers! Hold on and keep your head up hun..he just got called home to heaven so we both know he’s in a better place than we are now. It’s okay to vent, we all need to sometimes…..since he was supposed to walk you down the aisle for your wedding…do something very special to honor his memory on your wedding day because he will be with you in spirit on that day as well. Once again I am sorry for your loss and my prayers will be with you hun!

I’m so sorry. I know what it’s like to loose a loved one. My mom passed away 6 years ago, and sometimes it feels like it was yesterday. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I’m so sorry for you. Right now this is the best way to deal with your grief, by discussing how much he means to you with anyone that will listen. At this point do not postpone any wedding plans as you are greiving. I"m sure that your brother would want you to celebrate your marriage in a few months since he was going to be a part of that day.

I’m very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your extended family. I will keep you all in my thoughts. It is perfectly ok to take the time to grieve and not even think of the wedding, much strength to you!

I am SO sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I can relate to losing a loved one in the middle of wedding planning. My dad died almost 3 months ago, and it was a huge shock. The only advice I can give you is to give yourself time to grieve, and to try to use wedding planning and Weddingbee in particular as an outlet. There is so much support in this community. I will keep you in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. How wonderful to have a big brother so special to you. He, just like your parents, will always be in your heart and watching over you. May the peace which comes from the memories of love shared, comfort you now and in the days ahead.
