@PrncssDva:  Ooh I’m super curious about this too. I love Tide, but is that seriously bad for babies?

Honestly I make my own laundry detergent and we use it for my son and have had no issues.

We use ALL Free (white bottle) for skin allergies. There’s no scent and it seems pretty gentle.

We also use ALL Free and Clear and we’ve had no problems so far.

I’ve been usign Dreft for my 6 week old and have had no problems so far! I didn’t really look at anything else though, I went in to labor early so my friend had to pick up laudry soap and go wash his clothes for me but like I said, no problems so far.

All Free and Clear.  Way cheaper than Dreft with no scent and no dyes.  My ex husband had severe allergies to most detergents and this was the only one we could use.  I would also consider using Publix brand allergy free detergent as well.

I don’t have a baby, but I only use super clean and non-chemical-y beauty products and stuff, and I can definitely recommend the detergent brand BioKleen.  I get it from drugstore.com.  It is completely all-natural and gets our clothes clean just the same as our old chemical-laden detergent did.

The Ecover brand has a great stain remover that I also love.  It smells like lavender but it is all-natural, I think it’s scented via essential oils.  The bottle has a brush-thingie on the top so you can massage it into the stain before washing.  Again, works just as well as our old yucky one!

@PrncssDva:  I totally agree. Are there baby powders that don’t smell like standard baby powder? I HATE that smell.

Hmm maybe I’ll have to go on a smelling spree next time I’m at the store, haha.

Do you guys only wash the baby clothes in this “free” detergent, or do you change everyone’s detergent to the “free” stuff?
