I think something like this should go on the Classifieds.

However- other people have had similar problems and while the dress couldn’t be left out, one option was to put a section of fabric in the seem under the arm.  Since it’s under the arm, it’s no obvious that it’s been altered.  You could maybe use some fabric other maids have left over from their alterations, or just put a piece that matches closely.
