This past September, my Fiance asked me to marry him. It was the most wonderful engagement. It was totally a surprise. He set me up to believe we were attending a "bank event" (he works for Deutsche) so I got all dressed up. We were going for dinner before the "event" so we went to restuarant Daniel in Manhattan. As we went through the different courses I was beginning to get suspicious. It was such a lavish and expensive dinner after-all…. I mentioned our private booth and he said he had called in advance and they were very kind and provided a private booth for us. Hmmm… and right before dessert, he told me how much he loved me, how in 4 years he loves me more and more every day. After loads of sweet lines he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. It’s a Tiffany’s inspired ring, his jeweler makes rings for Tiffany’s and thus, made him a smaller replica of the Tiffany’s engagement ring (which they don’t have on their website anymore! Just realized that) with a yellow diamond as the center stone. I am more than happy with my ring and my fiance of course!
So, without further ado, here’s my bling.

Beautiful!!!! I LOVE the fancies!!! Had my eye on a princess cut blue diamond, but wasn’t obtainable due to the price and rareness of the diamond…..LOL You are one lucky lady!!!

Welcome to the yellow diamond club. Members include Suzanno, Erindemar, me, and you… There may be more, but I can’t think of them off the top of my head!
I so love the Tiffany corner setting that you got, but we had problems setting the diamond appropriately and had to get a special setting.
I guess (according to a jeweler I know) yellow diamonds have gotten so popular in engagement rings that it is really difficult to get one right now. Sounds like your honey got yours just in time!
Didn’t you just love the pink they displayed in that setting on the website?
Congratulations on the engagement and the gorgeous bling! Oh, and check out Anne Rutheman’s tutorial on how to take good ring shots… It’s helped so many girls take great pics of their rings.
