We have wood laminating flooring on our first floor. It is great with pets. We have three dogs and a cat.
On our second floor we have carpets in each bedroom, each carpet is different. My daughter’s bedroom is WHITE! Crazy people put white carpet in and they had two little kids. I would like to get another laminate wood flooring but am not sure.
Does anyone have this type of flooring or real hard woods in their bedrooms?
The one downstairs is a light color. Should we stick and be uniform or change it up and go a little darker? And whoever layed this floor didn’t know how to level, OMG they must’ve been drunk as hell!

My house also has white carpeting in some of the bedrooms. The former owner’s had a daughter and her room has makeup stains all over it, yuck!
Laminate is easier to clean and care for than wood. I don’t think you need to match the colors. Keep in mind that lighter colors show more dirt, and dark colors show more dust (so medium brown seems perfect).

We have a light laminate downstairs in the livingroom and darker laminate up stairs in the bedroom. Our stairs are an ugly baige carpet that will be replaced someday with a better looking new one. The carpet has been here for god knows how long and was at onetime throughout the house. I love the laminate flooring because it’s very easy to keep clean and won’t ware or scratch.
