We are planning our South Australian wedding. Or are "supposed" to be. However, I am having a difficult time getting any responses to email. Anyone have an experience planning an Australian wedding?
How do I get responses?
Is it better to start calling? I can’t even imagine dealing with the time zone. I think I could use Skype, assuming I can even get anyone to answer.
I found a great venue and have sent two emails. Our deadline is getting to be a little bit like crunch time.

Sorry that you are having a hard time getting someone to respond. My best friend and bridemaid is currently living in Melbourne and anytime i send her an email it’s like a two day responce time. Im not sure how long you have been waiting, but it may take some time.

I have to say, for the most part, Australian’s can be very ‘relaxed’ about customer service. It can be incredibly frustrating when you are trying to get stuff done. If you don’t catch someone 9 to 5, mon to fri, it can be difficult to get a response. Skype is a good idea. It will be a bit annoying with the time difference but at least it’s less expensive than waiting on a regular phone. Where are you having your wedding in South Australia? I am in Sydney but I have a good friend from Adelaide and if there’s something I can do to help, please let me know. If you need me to make an initial phone call to find out the contact person and the best time to reach them, I can do that.
