@ddw: “You can’t copy and paste photos into a post. Our system only supports uploads by using the photo uploader”

Is that a new change?  Because I copy and paste photos into posts all the time (including within the last couple of days).

@Mrs.KMM:Yeah me too. I did it forever so I didn’t have to save random pictures to my computer and then go back and delete them (not all but some) so my Fiance wouldn’t be able to see things like what I’m wearing. I liked that feature a lot more. Now I have a huge folder of useless images that I have to go through and delete.

Search not working for me. I’m using Firefox.

@Mrs.KMM: It was my understanding that we never intentionally supported this; I could be mistaken. A while back we had an attachment option, but that’s been gone for months (maybe a year?) now, and after that, we were told the only photo option was the uploader.

It’s best to use the uploader anyway, because it gives you control over your photos – you can remove them if you need to using it.

@ddw: I’ll be honest, I actually really hated the switch from the attachments to the uploader.

With the uploader, if I’ve helping someone with a shoe idea or a bouquet inspiration, I have to upload it to my account to post it (if I can’t copy and paste into the thread).  So then I have a ton of random pictures that have nothing to do with me or my wedding in the uploader thing.  But if I delete them from the uploader, then they are also deleted from the thread they appear in and are no longer helpful to that OP or anyone else who stumbles accross the thread.

When WB had the attachment capabilities, I could just save images to a photos folder on my desktop and attach them to a post.  But when I deleted the random pictures from that folder on my computer, they were still in the thread and helpful to anyone on WB to find.

@Mrs.KMM: I loved the copy paste for this reason too. My uploaded photos are getting cluttered with things that don’t have anything to do with my wedding. If I need to repost an image I have uploaded into another thread (say my dress for example) I have to search for it.

Not sure guys – I can ask our new tech team about it, but they’ve got a laundry list already. 🙂

The photos I had deleted before the maintenance were back, so I’ve deleted them again. But I think that means that the ‘delete photos’ option isn’t permanent.

@MightySapphire: Yea, tried that. I was mid post when the screen just shrunk. I didn’t press any funky key combination or anything. All of the other tabs I had open were fine, it was just WB (the boards specifically, blog was normal). It seems fine now but it was pretty weird earlier.

My thread isn’t getting updated posts in it: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/name-this-kitten

I wrote something in there about 2 hours ago & my profile says last time I replied was about 2 hours ago. The thread also says the last post was made by “dorsay” about an hour ago, however when I click on the thread, the last post I see is #36 by ElenorRigby from 1 day ago.

I tried at work about 30mins ago & its on a PC & I just now am trying on my Mac & no luck. Idk if its a glitch?

All day I’ve been trying to get on WB and got this:

Google Chrome could not load the webpage because http://www.weddingbee.com took too long to respond. The website may be down, or you may be experiencing issues with your Internet connection.

…But my connection is fine. I got through 3 times in total just for it to happen as soon as I’d post or go to check my private message box. =( I’m sure this is going to happen again after I post but I was just wondering if anyone else is having this problem.

I’m having the same “folder permissions” problem when trying up upload photos.
