I reached my first goal! First goal was a weight loss one — I’m finally under 150 (started at 155 a few weeks ago)! It was rough since 5 pounds in three weeks doesn’t sound like so much. I struggled the first two weeks too — I think the workouts I had been doing were bulking me up first and I even saw a pound+ increase on the scale during that time!
My next goal is to be under 145 … I know that doesn’t sound like such a huge difference from 150, but that’s the number I tend to stop at so I want to make it a goal to beat it! I’ve got a few dresses that used to fit and now don’t .. so those’ll be my next goals too! My ultimate goal is to be 130lb and toned and fit! .. AND keep it off.
Do you girls have any goals you’re looking towards while you’re working on fitness and/or weightloss??

@Apple Cake: Yes, I would love to be right around 135-140 by the wedding. But I have a feeling that it’s a little out of grasp. My wedding is in 7 months. and I would have right around 50 lbs to lose!!

I started working out on a schedule in January, I weighed myself this morning & I’m down to 140lbs!! I weighed anywhere between 144-146 depending on the day of the week it seemed. I’m pretty excited about being down to 140 even though it seems like it has taken forever. I’ve always been pretty small I’m 5’5″ and I always weighed between 105-125 up until my mid 20’s when I weighed around 130lbs. I’d love to get back down to 135lbs, and my goal is by summer to have lost the last 5. I’m totally content with that being as low as I go but if I lose a few more than that then even better.

Let’s see… I was almost down to my goal by our wedding last year. At my heaviest, I was at 137 and I was 115 for our wedding. However, since then I’ve fallen off the wagon some and am up to 122-123. Ideally I’d like to be 105 but I’d be happy with 110. 🙂

@jenn6051: yay you and i are getting married on the same day! i hadn’t found anyone on weddingbee with the same date yet!
@MsBrewer: Good luck! This losing weight thing isn’t fun though. I think I love food too much.
Good luck to everyone and great job so far!

Awww I was a 9/25/10 bride! My goal was to be at 128 by my wedding, I got to 132 – pretty close! BUT after the wedding I gained back 12lbs… ugh… I was up to 144 and not very happy about it. I have been working out for a few weeks now and weighed in today, 138! 10lbs to go!

Right now I weigh 139 and my goal is to be at 130 and toned for the wedding! I’ve been running and doing Jillian Michael’s 6 week 6 pack. I’m already at a really healthy weight for my body and it’s been really hard to get under 140! I was so excited to even get to 139 because it feels like I’ve been stuck at 140 for so long!

I hadn’t noticed another 09/25 bride either! Looks like we have the same weight goals, too! lol

I’m working really hard right now, trying to lose 30lbs for our wedding in September. I do pretty well with cardio, and am struggling with weight lifting.
I’m also a pretty healthy eater, but my down falls: CARBS and coming up with creative lunches…. any suggestions

I want to lose the extra 10 pounds I have gained since the wedding but I’m having trouble getting motivated and not being exhausted!

@srobinson: food without carbs is tough! this past week i’ve had these yummy lunch items: pam-fried (hehehe, get it get pam not pan?! ha.. okay sorry) tilapia with black beans and a mango/pineapple salsa, chicken lettuce wraps and chicken over plain salad and grilled pork chops with a green apple and red onion slaw with roasted asparagus and brussel sprouts! I’m trying to discover some interesting things to make at home that even the fiance will like and not have to throw in carbs for! We’re going to do grilled salmon and maybe some shrimp/mango skewers soon! I think all the deliciousness that I have been eating has helped me keep away from those simple carbs and sugars.
