That really, truly sucks!! πŸ™ I’m so sad for you…I hope that you are able to find a way to make it wearable, even if a ways down the road. At least, for now, you have two wonderful things to look forward to: marriage and baby!!!

Yeah I would shop around, you might find someone that will do it for less

Can you get a simple cheap band, maybe a second hand one either from online or a pawn shop and have a jeweler solder the top part to the new ring? That could be cheaper.

ETA: I would consult a jeweler about that plan and get an estimate before spending money on a band.
