This odd post stems from my browsing facebook and seeing pictures of the Queen pop up on my newsfeed. Yea me and the British Monarchy are tight enough to be facebook friends, along with thousands of others. The pictures of the Queen made me fall in love with hats. As an American Bee, I love the pictures of British weddings where everyone is in stunning hats. The only hat I own is an old baseball cap that I wear when I’m having one of those awesome hair days.
Continuing with the hat rant, I used to live next to a church which I called the “Hat Church” because ladies would show up every sunday in the most classic and chic looking hats. I would spend my Sunday mornings perched at the window, admiring the hat ladies and wishing one day I could join the Hat club. I’m wondering if hats are common in other parts of the U.S. outside of the Kentucky Derby?
Is it silly to dream of a hat wedding?

My dad REALLY wants the bridesmaids to wear hats! lol not so sure why.
My grandma wore hats a lot. After she passed away all the cousins were given some of her hats. I’m in the habit of wearing them now when I go to church. I think regardless of where you live if you want to wear a hat its all in the attitude!

@MrsPinkPeony: I think part of my problem is I wouldn’t even know where to get one! I’m just drooling over all these fabulous pieces!

@Pupperoni: Hats can be crazy expensive if you get them from a hat store or Macy’s/JC Penny but I’ve actually seen some decent ones at Forever 21 before.

I love hats and fascinators at weddings and just in general really! I think I’d wear one every day if people wouldn’t give me funny looks….
Me at Ladies Day at Ascot, loving my fascinator.

I love hats and have quite a large collection, especially vintage hats. I am known for wearing them to weddings and political events. Nothing as classic as the British custom or the “hat ladies” I am sure, but I do love them.
