OK, personal opinion – I love the card on the 2nd invite, but hate the lotus flower wrap, so for the extra cost, I would stay with your original.  But, I like more formal items, and think that the card on #2 says that – but #1 is so pretty!

And I love that you found your prince after the frogs – I feel the same way about mine 🙂

I say order a sample from the expensive company as your own keepsake and then order your more economical invites from the other place. The only time you will ever see these invites is packing them up into envelopes and mailing them out.

Guess what will most likely happen to you $400? It will go in the trash after the wedding is over, because most likely, 100% of your guests are NOT going to keep and treasure your wedding invitations.

When you take into consideration that only about 60 to 70% of people actually show up to the wedding, I just see it as a waste to spend about $3 per invite. Remember that no one cares as much about our theme or love affair as you and your FI do, so keep that in mind when spending lots of money.
